The single side component you called a ic chip is actually a resistor, they come in blue, yellow and black colors mostly. True sigle sided IC chips are called SIP for single sided package and ZAG for Zig Zag Inline package. Single sided IC chips will always be rectangle shaped with 90 degree corners

For this kind of input material, the yield was really good.
Most youtube videos use up more value in acids than recovering value in gold.
Redigest remaining cooper/plastic in AR, most of the gold is there. SnCl test is only purple not ink black, so keep in mind gold is disolved last after all metals are disolved, so your most gold is cemented on cooper, your litle bead just had not enough time ti cement back on coopet.

Just so you know these components are not rare and can be found on a lot of hardware.
I agree this is the most common material. All this is in any electronics, on any circuit board 🙂

I would really like to emulate this method because I have lots of mixed chips.
My questions are what percentage of concentration is the Nitric acid, and also the Hydrochloric acid? Is the water distilled water, rain water (rain water is similar to distilled), or tap water which is chlorinated?
Also can the grounded material be soaked in diluted nitric acid first, filtered, then extract the silver with the addition of HCL, if any silver precipitates, filter the silver, and re-add the formulated aqua regia to the ground material for the gold extraction?
Will Sodium Nitrate and HCL work for the grounded components if I can not get Nitric acid?
