Holy shit lol.. I thought my new HM Defense “Monobloc” 12.5” chrome lined middy w/ integral gas block was already pushing the limits with dwell time.
Same dwell time as a 10.5…..

Not even close. ALL 10.5" 5.56mm are carbine length gas system. Unlucky 13.
it’s simple math really, 10.5 barrel carbine gas 7inches=3.5 inches
12.5 barrel mid gas 9inches=3.5 inches
16.5 barrel rifle gas 12 inches=3.5
All same dwell time……

Actually, I've been using Lantac barrels for my builds for a while now. My favorite is my 12.5 with an intermediate gas system. Which in in-between mid and rifle length. I have been running it with a Vltor a5 H buffer Springco spring. There very soft shooting pistol and rifles. No issues, even. It was discontinued I a long time ago. and I luckily found one. I also have two 14.5 intermediate. I believe they also have rifle length 16 and 18-inch barrels.
