    Nice build. What main board did you use? I'm going to use an Ezabl also.

    this Is not a Eva carriage ??? hevort remix or vzbot??

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety +1

      It's a modified EVA carriage, though not much different, really (only the back plate). but the extruder part is a remixed version of the VZbot/hevort extruder. I'll be posting files after a little more testing time.

    So you are using 2020 extrusion? I feel the 3030 for RatRig specs is kinda overkill for a 3D printers especially if the build size is just 310x310mm.

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety +3

      This is 3030 all the way around, except for the X axis gantry, that is a 10x20 extrusion. I don't think 2020 is going to be rigid enough for a ratrig, because the frame is actually quite large, and when you want to print at higher speeds, frame stiffness is very important. You may be able to get by with 2020s if you add metal side and back panels to your frame for reinforcement though. but the cost may be more than just using 3030 extrusions to begin with.

      3030 is the way to go. My voron has all 3030 and no printed parts. Wouldn't look the other way

    what hotend/extruder system is that. I have my vcore 3 kit on its way and i wanna try something other than eva for he/ex

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety

      I'm using a slightly modified version of the EVA carriage with my own extruder that I remixed from Mirage C's design on the HevORT.

    What build plate surface is that?

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety +1

      It's the CCTree stick on build surface. I put them on a magnetic mat I have on the bed. Helps the first layer stick better, and leaves a really nice texture on the bottom of the print. I found this brand to be more durable than the typical ones you find on Amazon that are black with a white grid printed on them, which always comes off and shows on your parts

    CNC gantry?

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety

      the gantry is a 1020 "flat" extrusion. basically half a normal 2020. you can find them from Misumi.

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 3 lety +2

      It's a great design. I had a custom built Hypercube that I took apart to make this, and have zero regrets. Also, the backlog of orders over at RatRig is huge. They just received a huge shipment of parts for this kit, so you will be seeing a lot more of them very soon
