Ever play a game that made you go "WOW." Mirror's Edge did that for me. Too bad Dice made some stupid decisions for me to almost rip my hair of- WAITAMINUTE! DICE?!!!

The Runner vision is meant to be a guide, but the game does encourage you to experiment for yourself. Being a Traceur myself, I feel like Runner vision wasn't really needed, but that's just me. :P
This was a really refreshing game. I enjoyed nearly every moment of it. it is NOT a fighting/shooter game, so don't think you're gonna be like the new James Bond or anything (although there is some fighting involved). Fast paced and action packed, with incredible level designs to boot. There are a few frustrating moments in the game, but once you figure it out it's no problem at all to duplicate. This game really makes you think outside the box. Great (simple) story line that fits perfectly. Long enough to make the game feel complete, short enough to want to play it over again.
I cannot wait for #2. All they need to do is maybe have a more interesting story, fix some combat gameplay (and just improve it in general) and you got yourself a great game. Mirrors edge reminds me a lot of portal. Not recieved well by everyone, and the story was short and it felt a bit half done, but in portal 2 it felt complete... Hopefully mirrors edge 2 can pull off the same thing

Yeah, ME is painfully short, the plot makes little sense, and the Esurance cutscenes are extremely jarring. I hate that about it as well. I do have to say, though, since you seem to complain about the gunplay so much, I'm almost sure the game was meant with running in mind. While it's true that Dice did poorly implement non-escape-able gun sequences, Faith is a runner, not a soldier with firearms experience. The gunplay was meant to be clunky.

Well, the shooting was still better than one of those third person cover based shooters.
