The XFLY Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker 750mm EDF jet is an easy-to-fly, great-looking, and versatile scale EDF model that will appeal to a wide variety of pilots, including those with limited experience in flying EDF jets. The 4S-compatible power system includes twin 12-bladed 50mm fan units that deliver an abundance of power for excellent thrust, loads of speed, and an incredible turbine-like sound. The full-size Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker is a long-range air defense jet fighter that was designed as a direct competitor to the McDonnell Douglas F-14. The swept-back wing configuration gives the Su-27 excellent slow-speed handling and short-field capabilities, but it also allows for high maneuverability at speed. These design attributes carry over extremely well to the XFLY model of the Sukhoi Su-27.
The XFLY Su-27 is supplied in a "Plug-N-Fly" format meaning that it not only includes the fan units, motors, and ESCs, but 5 x 9g digital servos as well, all you need to supply is a transmitter, receiver, and a 4S (14.8V) 2200~3000mAh LiPo battery. The strong landing gear supplied is fixed with a steerable nose gear, but due to the very stable flight characteristics of the Su-27, it is quite happy being hand-launched with the landing gear removed. This takes it to the next level with even more speed and an almost unlimited vertical performance.
The model is made from very tough EPO foam and is beautifully finished in a blue color scheme of the Ukrainian Air Force. Assembly is quick and simple, there is a small amount of gluing to do on the tail components, but the rest is simply screwed together.
So if you are after a scale EDF jet that looks great, flies great, is smooth and stable in flight, and has excellent handling qualities, then the XFLY Sukhoi Su-27 is for you.

Thank you for the upload. It flies great, long take off. I made take offs short by holding the tail, full throttle then release like a carrier take off. Unfortunately I crashed it while coming in hot for a landing. I high alpha then tried to power out too close to the ground on a 4s2200 that was 4 minutes on timer. It cut out as I tried to climb over a structure. I will have one again.

Great unboxing! Have you considered doing an assembly video ? You can edit it to 15 or 20 min but some newbies might enjoy seeing how simple some planes are to assemble
They don't edit their videos, not going to happen sadly.
We have done a few assembley videos by now. But like I always say for now we donr edit nothing. But maybe in the future if my daughter will do it for us.

It's a beautiful SU-27 from X-fly. If you want at least a normal 3.5 minute flight time, I'd recommend using at least a 2800-3000 4s battery. A 2200 is gonna be a 2.5 minute flight. Trust the Hammer, the Hammer is wise, the Hammer is good. :)

I have watching for many years, love your work. One question i have is about the TX16 transmitter you once showed. Did you manage to learn the OpenTx/EdgeTx operating system it was loaded with? It's a very steep curve to start off with, but very powerful.

Good morning from AZ my friends, be very careful with the battery on it. I fly mine with a spectrum smart 4s 2200 and after 2.5 minutes it’s time to land. It flies wonderful but be very careful on how fast it goes through your battery.

I fly my jets usually half throttle after takeoff. For some reason this one loves to eat all my batteries! Lol

Mine took a long takeoff roll with a 100c Spektrum smart 2200 4s but it was cold out. I did warm the battery in my pockets first. Not sure if it’s the same setup but the quality is nice. Once in the air it is beautiful and flies well. I programmed an AR636 with safe and AS3X for mine. Flies great on both modes.
