I bought the Limited Edition Silver Dial - mainly due to it's Legibility - I will say after 1 month of wearing it - 1: it's a true "Scratch Magnet" = the high polish bezel and case already have a few light scratches and 2: it's a true "Strap Monster" - I immediately put on a Cherry Red leather strap and it looks great - I'm preserving the Stainless bracelet and the Blue Strap in the box for if I ever want to sell it (I think this one is a keeper though!)
This is going to be my next watch to buy but im torn between two colours...the Red Wine and the Anthracite colour which is the fourth in this series, why its not available in America is beyond me. I wish I could buy both right now but I can`t...maybe in three months time i`ll buy the second...which colour though "Arrrggghhh".
I was really wanting one of these Bulova Jet Star watches but not sure if there are enough removable end links to fit someone with a 6 inch wrist. I know they also have limited edition silver dial version but this one with the red dial looks so lovely. While I wish this watch had at least 100 meters water resistance and not 50 this is still definitely something I would buy.
Well I bought it since. If you remove all the links it fits a 6 inch wrist. Very slightly loose but I mean very slightly and I like them tight. The leather strap however the limited edition comes with is another story. Not enough holes for a six inch wrist and it's very long. I did however buy an identical rubber blue strap with red stitching for like €20 and it's what I have been wearing since. Great strap. I would recommend you go with it if you like it is doable on a 6inch wrist and also the size of the watch face is perfect
There's actually a lot of history here. Bulova made waves with their temperature-change resistant quartz movement as most quartz watches lose accuracy when going from one extreme temperature to another. This was useful for train conductors as they are required to have calibrated watches with high accuracy. The Jet Star is not only incredibly accurate, but its perfect second hand sweep is mesmerizing and highly desired in the watch world. As far as I'm concerned this is one of, if not the best quartz movement on the market right now and I just picked one up for $400. Amazing!

I think these are great watches. On my radar for sure.
I have the 96B230 precisionist and it is crazy accurate....and that smooooooooooth sweep.
Hi,
How long does the battery last??
@@pablorubiopascual2269couple of years
@pablorubiopascual2269 Not sure. I was able to snag a brand new one for $345...so I jumped. They say around 2 years battery life.
New Mic? Audio is a huge improvement over the older videos!
I would happily own both of those lovelies🍻
Nice review
Have them both, they are great watches.

@@John-P push pins
I had to take 3 links out to fit correctly!

Will you have 5he black and silver 96B414 in stock soon?
As soon as I saw that silver one, I knew I had to have it & I've already ordered it.
What’s wrong with the red
@@SirenitaHermosa Nothing at all, I don't have my outfits to match it so I got the silver. I've noticed it does run fast tho.
How fast?@@toddw14
Have the same size wrist did it fit without adjusting ?
There were plenty of links, in fact I think it was too big!
Just wish it wasnt that blingy, a brushed option would have been great.
The limited edition comes with a blue pleather or leather strap.
wish it was in 38mm.
Very nice but just 50m water resistance at that price......no thanks
Yikes on the lume
Japan movement china band 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😂😂😂 no thx
Care to share a better swiss made watch that isn't vintage to rival it for the price?
This is bulova's in house patented quartz movement. Every bit as good as grand Seikos quartz imo just not hyped up half as much as it should be.
