Thank you for making it so easy to follow and getting right to the point! And with so few ingredients. I haven't tried it yet but will very soon; I have a lot of potatoes to use up. And I have a Breville Smart Oven but have not made French fries yet. I do love the oven.

No I have not, the oil helps them brown up and I only use extra virgin olive oil.

Convection is the key to crispy fries.

@@Nicole-zv7ee Convection cooking uses a fan to circulate air throughout the oven. I'm thinking of getting a fryer basket to put in my full size convection oven in which to "air fry" like Home Cook Basics did in his toaster oven.

That ain’t an air fryer lol
try soaking then with season salt onion flake and garlic powder...2 hours...dry them...off and cook em...you can taste all three ingredients...mite surprise you...
