I have a not-so-formal wedding next week, and am gonna be wearing brown boots with a blue suit and black shirt. Really looking forward to it. Also points 1 & 2 are pretty spot on; I am 1,71 so they help make me look taller and sleeker, and yes, women tend to compliment my footwear sometimes. But they tend to do that with most clothing, not only shoes, in my experience.

I got into boots after I switched to hi top Converse as my main shoe. Before I had worn low tops. Hi tops felt so much better. Made the jump to boots from there for cosplay and got some great boots from that. Now boots are my main shoe. The easier I can dress it up, the better.

Great video. I like and have some similar boots you had in the video, with my favorite being my Iron Rangers. However over the past 7 or so years, I've gotten back into almost exclusively wearing cowboy boots. Wore a pair of lizard boots yesterday and had a lady compliment me twice on them. Get more comments and compliments when I wear cowboy boots vs. my lace up boots.
For men or women, the right boot is fabulous. Own 3 pairs myself. And 'tis so easy to compliment a person that is wearing them Such a smile in return...

I live in a tropical island where it's summer all year long and I still wear my boots. I usually stand out from all the other guys wearing sneakers.

I live in a city that's very windy, and can often be cold and wet as well (all at the same time), so boots are a go to.
My favourites are my dark brown chelsea boots (mainly because I can get them on and off in 2 seconds), but I also have lace up boots, in a lighter tan brown.
I have to say, years ago I thought wearing boots was something weird and the first time I bought a boot I was very self-conscious and uncomfortable BUT mark my words: I never were so complimented in my life. Yeah, everyone was noticing my boots and everyone just loved it. The women were fascinated and even other men weresaying nice things to me, amd in my country is not mormal people just compliment unknown people in the streets, but they did. So, I tell you guys: wear boots they are awesome!!!

You are absolutely right about women loving men who wear boots. I’ve learned this first-hand. I also think that men notice other men who wear boots. That’s the first thing I look at when I see a guy. Boots do symbolize power IMHO. For me, they are sexually charged as well. I’ve had a boot fetish for as long as I can remember. But only for lace-ups.
I've be saying this since I was a teenager. So many men could do so much better with women, if they actually knew how to dress nice and present themselves.

I’ve always worn light tan colored Timberland work boots 🥾 with tapered jeans and the top lace eyelets undone to allow the jeans to fit inside the top portion of the boots. It doesn’t add too much height for me, but women like it.

I LOVE cowboy boots, Real Men Real Style!! I've LOVED cowboy boots since I was little! I have a broken-in brown pair with a more pointed toe and stitching on the toe. I wear mine with loose jeans, jerseys and even shorts!! I LOVE the stitching on the toe of cowboy boots. I think it makes them stand out more. I LOVE how they make me look taller. I'm 5'10" and I wear size 12. Cowboy boots need their own paid holiday!! :) :)

I live in the country and wear cowboy boots as they are utilitarian for work around the property in all types of weather. But when traveling for work, I'll clean them up and wear them with dress slacks and they look great.

Agree. I'm in the Upper Midwest where even as a townie, you're never far from the fields and the weather. I think well-dressed here will always include the durable/practical vibe where in the urban environment, there's more room for "show". Your boots are a great example - go to work, then clean 'em up, and go out.

Hi from down under, shame that RM Williams didn't get a mention 🥲 We don't have many outlets for international boots so I heavily rely on your videos for advice/sizing info.
I have a pair of Vanguards from Thursday and it has been a bit of a squeeze. They must use a skinnier last than the president or capitan because it has been slightly uncomfortable to break in around the toe cap.
Red wing Iron Rangers are a fantastic boot apart from the break in. Probably the worst break in I've ever had apart from the RM Williams stock man boot which I have had for about 5 months and am still trying to break in...
Completely agree with the Thursday Boots mention, I am approaching 9 pairs of them. Meerman and Grant stone are next on the list with a potential for a Red Wing Moc (or more Thursday boots).

Chelsea boot elastic wears out over time and you can't retighten it without replacing the elastic completely. However, if there are small areas of your boots that could use tightening, simply dampen a cloth and lightly dab water onto the leather of the upper that needs tightening. Let the boot dry and try it on for size. If the boot still feels loose, repeat the process until the desired fit is achieved

But as a guy that is very much attracted to women 6'0 and over fucking hell it's rare to find one that I'd actually have to wear heeled boots for if she wore high heels of any size.

This just feels like one big advertisment. I love boots. Don't buy thursday though, heard bad things about them. Get a couple pair of Solovair's and a pair or two of Red Wing's
My Thursday Captains are nice but they don’t stay looking that nice for long. They turn into a more rugged look with patina that looks great only problem with that is they are not actually rugged. With a more fashion oriented narrow toe box and thinner leather these are not boots to hike a trail in even though they look like they should. The only way around this is to baby your boots and don’t let the slightest scuff. Constantly brush and condition them and they will look great for years… I’m not doing that.
Boots with a heel to toe drop are not good for your posture and your joints, gait, etc. Something to think about. Maybe for occasional wearing but you'll walk differently vs low or no drop
