I had a Kent Walmart bike for 3 years. I used it everyday to and from work, roughly 20 miles a day. I rode it to the ground. The wheels were the first to die, then I replaced that. Then the pedals and cranks. Next was the quill and bars broke down. Then lastly the bottom bracket constantly needed replacing, found out it was the threads. They were too damaged and because of that kept breaking bottom brackets. I spent a lot of money upgrading, then constantly repairing it. It was my first fixie and I learned a lot from it.

@RedSkitz._ I had it for 3 years my dad has quite a bit of cycle knowledge from mountain biking so for a starter it was really good. It lasted me a long time and was great for learning to shift gears properly. Plus it was cheaper than something from a sports store

My Walmart bmx from a while back lasted 4 years before it got stolen. It was still going strong with literally no maintenance at all. I was like 10 so I had no idea how to tune up the brakes or anything like that. The only part that was completely broken was the kickstand. That bike was so strong.

Not exactly, check out some of our other videos and you'll see a quality set up can take a beating
If it were a mountain bike, you'd have broken derailleurs, stem, cranks, chain, brake levers, brake pumps, and most likely a jacked up fork. Oh, and the frame might not be use able anymore and you might get some torn carbon fiber. A bmx bike may be fine, but most bikes would crumble.

Well this was a very bad bike but fixies are for gays and people with very poor taste that likes to make simple things way harder in hope to look cool. Buy a normal bike and ride freely.
We all have "normal" bikes too. Fixed gear is challenging. Which like anything worth doing, makes it fun.

I didn't really see the point of this video other than that Walmart bikes are terrible even though there not. I have a 500c Kent Fixie Thruster bicycle and I've had it for more than 2 years and I've hadn't had to replace any part. Its been taking me from point A to point B. Its doing its job perfectly fine. I do admit that the tricks they did were pretty cool. Its just a waste of a bike. Someone else could of actually used it.
