one data point you were missing is seat height.
I appreciate that the Honda Transalp has a lower seat height. I rented a Yamaha Tenere for a few days and really struggled with a 34 inch seat height since I have a 30" inseam.

Good review of the stats. The problem is stats don’t tell the whole story. For example, higher horse power doesn’t necessarily mean better overall riding experience. I believe the only way to know is ride each one.

Probably the Suzuki on paper given what I like about a bike and how I’d use it. A decent sized fuel tank to eliminate range anxiety, a comfortable seat and being able to touch the ground are important things for me.

I would pick the Yamaha,is the simplest, may be Is not the best one in terms of features or performance but its a simple motorcycle, cheap if broke and easier to fix, less electronics actually its a pro, nor a con.

@@panths81 It all depends on the purpose. Not all of us travel/relax in the same way. I prefer to do offroad on a competition enduro bike and think that anything above 300 lbs is not up to the task. So in my opinion Tuareg doesn't make sense offroad. As for travelling, I travel two-up and as such don't do anything more than gravel roads, so for me Tuareg doesn't fit the bill again. Luckily, other bikes exist. The size of the market for "aggressive adventure" bikes is often overestimated, since that's just not how the majority of people travel.

Honda claims to make more power but you feel at higher rpm so you need to spend a lot of fuel and warm s lot the engine to feel the power and I tell you the real true 90 vs 73 doesn't feel when you ride the teneree 700 or my mt07 agains Honda cb750 you going to notice that mt07 have more power at low rpm and medium rpm honestly the quality of material and the dash of honda are the best but the engine is jerky and weakier at low

@@alphajed7700 Dude, the T7 and V-Strom have fully adjustable sus, i.e. preload, compression and rebound are adjustable. The Transalp allows you to only adjust the preload. When they say " not fully adjustable suspension", it means you cannot play with the valves of the shock absorber, but only with the spring tension. When they say "non-adjustable", it means the fork is completely sealed and lacks any adjustments, which is not the case with the Transalp.

Honda hit the spot with this for their particular line-up with this…having the CB500X to step back to, and the epic AT to step up to. They’re the only Japanese player on par with what BMW and KTM offer for range….and its going to pay off.
