The sad part is it could've been a good movie had it not been for how the story was poorly executed. A whille back, I read Batman 484-485, which covers the origin story of Black Mask. Just as the main villain in the Catwoman 2004 movie, he, too, was selling a dangerous beauty product that he would later go on to weaponize. So again, the concept in the 2004 movie was good. But the execution ruined it.
Problem was it wasn't a Selina Kyle Catwoman movie, but a Patience Phillips one. Film was ruined due to a decade of development hell. Producers just wanted to participate in a Cash grab to get the money Warner Brothers greenlit in 1994, and they used Halle Berry as a pawn to get paid. Producers never had any intention of making a good Catwooman movie, all the wanted was the cash.

The characters are who and what they are but if the script does not translate well to the imagination of the audience, the results will reflect the disappointment of the audience. Cat Woman should have done well with Jalle Berry playing the role, but being half black and half white will not save you from prejudice. That's how I see it. When I went to go see that movie, I had it in my mind that it would make sense, but it didn't. It was just the most ridiculously written narrative. If you're going to write a movie and have your prejudices against the half of a person's race, write about the patt you hate. Make it about Halle Berry black half.
