People like to demonize the homeless without realizing that at given time 100s of thousands of children in America don't have a home. Their parents are often single or have fallen on hard times and struggling despite their best efforts.

@BayAreaEASports I did not donate anything. I don't live in the United States. I live in a country where families with children are guaranteed to receive their own apartment, free healthcare and financial support, regardless of the parent's employement status.
The concept of prayer to address issues is a strategy that only helps politicians, because this way they don't have to deal with citizen's demands. The cold, hard truth is that you don't evoke change by talking to walls. I don't mean to insult any religious folks here, but you have to avoid situations like these, where incorporating personal beliefs causes harm to those in need of actual help.

jacob carballo it’s a feedback loop; we don’t support teachers because we think it’s an easy job, teachers don’t feel supported and thus don’t won’t to teach better, students grow up and dont like education who eventually always dislike teachers, not voting for things that would support them. We always put our money with what we socially value. Other countries that are massively ahead of our education system in the US treat teachers like gods and pay them amazingly. A starting teacher in the U.S. would almost be better off working at a restaurant.

In the 2016-17 school year, 1.4 million students (ages 6 to 18) experienced homelessness.
Most students experiencing homelessness were doubling up with other families during the 2016-17 school year (75 percent), while others were in shelters (15 percent), hotels/motels (7 percent), or were unsheltered (4 percent).
In 2017, most children and youth experiencing homelessness who were unaccompanied were 13 to 17 years old (87 percent), while a disproportionately high number of all children in federally-funded shelters were infants (under age 1) and young children (ages 6 and younger)-10 and 45 percent, respectively.
