BMW E81 E82 E87 E88 gear shifter knob replacement

How to replace manual transmission #shifter in BMW 1-Series E87. In my car there was a lot of wear and tear caused by wedding ring. I found replacement on AliExpress that fits my E87 perfectly and it took just 5 minutes to replace the old used shift knob with new one.
You need to put your car into neutral, engage parking brake, pry aluminum trim to access 4 latches holding the leather to disassemble old setup. Once you release it, put it into 2nd or 4th gear, grab it firmly and pull. Be careful not to punch yourself into face. New knob needs to be pressed into place.
This AliExpress replacement knob was about $10-15 including shipment & handling and should fit #BMW E81, E82, E87, E88 models. There are also versions with different design, different number of gears and different gears location.
