- Should you use Scrivener 3 to write your next book? In this video review, I go over some of the finer points I've come across thus far and why I would buy Scrivener to work on upcoming projects.

It actually has a lot of flexibility and functionality without costing an arm and a leg. It's definitely among my favorite writing apps, especially since Scrivener can also handle goals and monitor the progress of your manuscript.

I quite like Scrivener...
thank you so much for this review!! it was straight to the point and not a 30 minutes video of jumbled nonsense thumbs up for sure!!!
You are welcome. And Thank you for the thumbs up! :)
I wish I could say I love Scrivener, but lately I got fed up with all the different writing apps, chucked them all out and went back to MS Word. There I rethought my process, harmonised it with my Obsidian and am currently happy and content. You have a very cute cat through. Definitely a like.
Well, that's one of the things I often push the most...the best writing app is the one that works best for your needs. Lately, I've been groovin' on Reedsy and Atticus.
And thank you. She's my co-host most days. 😁
Interesting and introduced me to several bits I had no idea were there. However, there also seemed to be some faint but distracting music in the background which really affected hearing you. To start with I though perhaps I had something else playing accidentally in another tab, but couldn't find anything so decided it must be in the video. Happy to be told I'm wrong and you haven't got any distracting muzac!
Well, I stopped using the music a few videos ago. The data was finally inconclusive on whether it improved watch time or not. So, I just canned it for the time being.
I'm glad I could show some bits you didn't know were there, though. :)
@@WriterSanctuary I'm glad you have! I'm sure there are some who like it but for anyone who is neurodiverse it can be really hard to cope with conflicting sounds. Possibly those with hearing impairment as well because hearing aids tend to amplify everything not just the bit you want to hear. So thanks again :-)
@@katesaffin4148 No problem.
Thank you, you have been helpful
You are welcome. Glad I could help.
The pros and cons of Reedsy and Scrivener sude by side❤. I'm looking forward to it
I already have something like that in the works. :)
Scrivener is best for me. I've never used Reedsy, but what I see with apps like Atticus, it's great for formating in a user-friendly way but that's all that's better.
I find it difficult to pick a favorite. So, I've been using them all to write individual books and stories. I'm sure I'll eventually pick a favorite for writing. But right now, it's kind of fun exploring the possibilities. 😁
Cool thanks!
You're welcome.
Hey, I wanted to help you with your progress window problem. At 5:43 if you hover over they chapter title (in the video it would be Episode 22) it will show your document length and progress goals.
Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. :)
I see cat, I stay.
Yeah, Shadow is a frequent fixture in the videos. lol
The real review is that: CAT >>>>>>>> Scrivener. Hehehe.
Yeah, Shadow seems to be everyone's favorite. lol
