I love the floor plan you landed on! I actually thought it was more realistic to use the bookshelf as a divider between the living area and the study, instead of walling it off (at least in the student homes I’ve been in), but either way I think the space functions really really well. I hope you get some relief from your allergies soon!

I've definitely seen some weird floor plans when searching for somewhere to live.
The weirdest, you walked into the lounge space from the side of the house. To the right of the lounge/living area, same wall as the entry door, was the kitchen. Layout wise it was fine, at this point, but the appliances were too small for their spaces, leaving large gaps around the oven. To get to the main bedroom you walked through the lounge (past the kitchen), right down the hall. Carpet, linoleum, carpet.
The random area of lino was for the "European laundry", then the master bedroom.
Going left along the hall took you to two small bedrooms.
One had the closest doors stuck shut and made into a "wall" , on the other side the back of the built in closest was now a desk nook. One of these rooms led out through the back door.
The main bathroom was half in the converted garage space, half in the higher main house.
The garage had been "conveted" by changing the roller door to windows, and painting the concrete bricks light purple and extending the bathroom.
I don't think my description does the weirdness justice.
The worst apartment I’ve seen was the one that had blood stains from the previous Tenant who stabbed his girlfriend to death. Didn’t rent it in case you were wondering...

I love the idea of the kids trying to sublease the office space as an extra bedroom. And some extra broke kid just takes it because it’s cheap. Because same. 🤣

I was in a dorm the whole time in college (double room for 2 years and apartment style dorm for two (one year in a double, the following in a single) and my boyfriend had a similar experience. So our dorms came with some basic furnishing from the college. We didn’t have like picked up from a dumpster level accessories, but our personalization wasn’t like a “designed aesthetic “ either. We had some posters and throw blankets, that we picked up here and there so kinda in between I guess?
But this still seems super realistic to me!
I was definitely a fully furnished girl in college, my best guy friends were not lol

I feel like if you use carpet instead of wood you should be able to cover the outline - I get that if it was on the wood floor it would show, but if you carpeted over the wood it should go!

You don’t need a mod to remove them! You can destroy them just with testing cheats!

pretty sure you can't. Sims Forum and the Community board also say you can't. They're there for the TLC trait, it's part of the apartment. Just like you can't change apartment traits, you can't change the built-in pieces of the apartment. You can if you have MCcommand Centre or maybe T.O.O.L if you're picky and smart with it, but I'm 99% sure there's no non-modded way to remove them with in-game cheats...

You are such a good builder. But sometimes when I download your saves the walls that holds the doors are missing. I think its just my game lol. Its like that with almost every download which is odd. But oh well. Again you're amazing! ❤

You can only upload apartments as rooms, not lots, so builders have to delete walls and platforms to trick the game into thinking an apartment is a single room. It's a workaround for an EA issue.

Could u start putting ur builds up for download? My gallery won't work for nothing and i basically am having to live without the gallery rn :( don't know if thats a common problem but if you could do it and it wouldn't be a bother it would be rlly great, rlly miss ur builds TT

The apartment is amazing, but watching the process is kinda disturbing 😂 I mean, I'm starting to like a particular version of the living room, and I think "oh wow", and then you delete it and try smth different and i'm like 🔥💦😌 ok this one is cool too
