Your cat sounds just like my old cat Squishy (rip). I'll never forget the nights we spent eating mac and cheese out of the pot together, or the time I walked into the kitchen to find her with a whole piece of toast in her mouth (which she ran away with, through the cat door to outside), or the time I went outside for 3 minutes and left a whole pizza to cool on the counter, only to come back and she'd eaten all the toppings off and left just the crust and some sauce.
the pizza story is so hilarious, may she rest in peace 💜
my cat lovessss food and has 100% broken into his food multiple times. I have started using an automatic feeder recently, but primarily only for the middle of the night. It seems to work really well, he loves it, and it keeps him from waking us up in the middle of the night. I bought some really cheap baby locks that i’ve been using on the cabinets i keep his food in and that has worked like a charm
If you do ever get a washer and dryer my best advice is just keep them closed at all times and before you start the dryer make sure you get a line of sight on your furbaby, and maybe shut them in the other room after you spot them if you are super worried about it :) We have 8 cats and have never had an incident. Though we do know people who have but we just use the precaution of checking for all the kitties before we start the dryer. ❤

My dogs are both obsessed with food. We've had a handful of emergency vet visits over their consumption of forbidden snacks (chocolate, raisins). Their new obsession is eating everything in our garden. They will eat cucumbers and peas off the vine. One of them also discovered digging up carrots! 😅
we get lettuce leaves for our chickens and if a cabbage leaf ever gets mixed in our dog will zoom straight for it. the chickens dont even get a look-in. she's also been seen eating the blueberries off the bush too, so it may just be a dog thing lol
As a recently single person this build is quite accurate lol. Amazing job as always!
Never stop your tangents they're fab
My late cat Tally (💔) was very food motivated and the automatic feeder I bought was such a great thing to have. Just make sure you get a model that the cat can't get into! The first type I bought, Tally figured out she could stick her paw up the feeder where the food dropped out and if she wiggled her paw, some kibble would come out. She would sit there doing this for HOURS so I returned it. Eventually got the PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed and she couldn't get into that one. I also bought the power cord for it so it would run on electricity instead of batteries, made me feel better since I have ADHD and was worried the batteries would die and I wouldn't notice!
After watching a bunch of your vids I was so amazed at everything and then I thought what if... I was thinking of a "challenge" of building without any cheats enabled, and make it look decent. The way clutter and some different placements makes the house, I wonder if creators can make it even without it. Lots of non-builders or beginners could edit/make changes to the house from gallery easily too haha.

Gryphi,, I think it would be so fun if you built an apartment building with some completely different shaped and size apartments that you could use for your Reno’s. No disrespect intended, but I’m tired of seeing the same old Medina Studios apartments renovated, not just by you, but by everyone. 😊😊💛💛.

It’s really interesting how various things are standard in apartments in different countries. Here in Poland I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a washing machine in their rented apartment, dryers aren’t very popular though and people just dry clothes on drying racks that stand in the middle of the living room 😂
One of my cats is just like yours, he loooves to snatch my food when I'm not looking. Same with his sister, Arya. We lost her last night, a very sudden illness, and I've been struggling with the loss. Please, please keep an eye on anything potentially toxic to your kitty. Our kitchen is being remodeled and it's likely she got into material that she wouldn't have had access to otherwise. It's been an extremely difficult lesson to learn. Our surviving two are now exclusively staying in my room until the kitchen is done. Food motivated cats are adorable, but it can be scary. Best wishes to you and your lovely animals.
My cat is exactly like that too. He would also finish his food as soon as I put it in the bowl, so the vet recommended splitting his meals into a few more times throughout the day. We have been using an automatic feeder for the past 4 years and he gets fed 10 times a day. No more food time tantrums, he gets automatic portion control, and has a happy food time 10 times a day. He is happy, we are happy, everyone’s happy

Yes my cat Stew is just like your cat, we had to totally change our lifestyle and the way we store food LOL. I'm wishing you luck 😂 we finally got it all figured out, but he still tries to jump on counters when we are cooking! So we have to be quick with him.

The only hits to our deposit on our first apartment were from our cat. He broke one of the blinds slats the week before we moved out. They noted the screwed in baby proof cabinet latches, but because we left the latches and didn’t just have screw holes, we weren’t charged for that. Now we actually have to put anything on a lower shelf inside a container - otherwise my cat chews the packaging and exposes the food to air through all the teeth holes. Not to mention putting his own health at risk if the packaging breaks off (usually he isn’t tearing just biting so it hasn’t happened but it could have). It’s not that my cat wants the people food - it’s that he wants us to come to the kitchen and feed him his food that he can’t get to, now that we have child latches and the food is stored in its packaging inside one of those screw lid dog food vaults. Yes the cat food is triple secured. He will sit and STARE at the cabinet in the kitchen. No he isn’t starved. According to the vet he is actually a little overweight. And I have had cats and dryers my whole life, it’s never been an issue, not one of my cats has ever decided to even attempt it- but I do ALWAYS check before I latch the dryer door just in case. My parents have had a cat get into the attic crawl space while getting Christmas decor out though - my dad had to send my little brother in after the cat and herd him out towards a bowl of treats.

I’m seeing a lot of comments online about the content in this pack being not enough for an EP and it should be a game pack but I’m excited for more plants 😂 doesn’t take much to excite me 😂🎉

Your cat reminds me a bit of my old cat Fuzzz (my kid self INSISTED on the three Zs). He was an indoor outdoor (we didn't know until we got my newest cat when I was in high school that outdoor cats were destructive both for the cats and the local wildlife, our youngest cat and any future ones would be indoor exclusively), and he LOVED his food. I would get ready for school in the mornings, make myself some cereal, and then he would sit on my lap in my wheelchair until the bus came and drink the leftover cereal milk. When my chronic pain would act up, or I'd need another surgery, as soon as I sat anywhere or laid down he'd be right up with me, purring up a storm. He passed traumatically (he was hit by a car and then my witch of a neighbour dumped him right where I'd go to meet the bud) when I was 13, and I still grieve for him. I've loved all my pets deeply, but Fuzzz and I had a special bond.
my best friend’s dog is also the MOST food-motivated animal i have ever seen. she learned to scarf down her food at dinner time because then she’ll get a treat quicker, and then as the treats are being taken out, she’ll start spinning because that’s the trick she has to do to get her treat- except no one has told her to do anything. she also regularly breaks into trash cans searching for scraps of food. idk that dog lives for food and it’s so funny to me

My grey cat Lola is also a handful. She’s mellowed out with age. She still screams, but she no longer digs around for food like that :)
I've got a 2 year old Beagle who is very food driven lol. I did have a cat growing up that ate potato chips. We got him in the late 80s, he passed away some time between 2009 and 2011
We have a cat just like this. Unfortunately, he was rescued from a hoarding situation where food was never available, or when it was, there was never enough for all animals in the house, so he’s extremely sensitive and very VERY into food. Routine really helped us, feeding twice a day (smaller amounts) or even three times a day could be beneficial instead of once a day, and we have more than one cat so we also feed him in a different room so he isn’t forced to be so obsessive over his food. He’s on a strict diet as well since he steals food just like your cat does, and is unfortunately overweight. TLDR; several meals a day, routine, strict diet, and if you have more than one cat feeding in a different area of the house

my cat is the same way. she’s very talkative in general, but when it comes to food she will scream at you and try to smack the can out of your hand 😂
My partners cat is like that. An hour before feeding time he'll start meowing at us and the second we even start *walking* over to the closet that his food is in he just goes OFF😂 he just keeps screaming until you put the food in his bowl. We're about to move in together and my two cats free feed, so we need to figure out a way for him to not be able to eat all the girls' food😂 (he also has special food so if he eats their food he'll get sick. Currently researching ways to avoid him eating their food)
My sister's cat Pumpkin will eat *everything* she is such a meance 😂She once stole a whole pack of bread rolls
My cat Soba Noodle's favorite food is curry! Naturally, he has kitty IBS, so additional things kitty shouldn't have? THE MORE HE WANTS! He is an absolute fiend for French fries too. We can't have him in the same room!!! He is an absolute stinker, who would Love if he could just eat human food.

My cat Nyx is obsessed with butter. Not sure how or why it started, but she will find it and she will tear the box open and the paper to lick the butter. My husband has taken to calling her Paw-la Dean

Love this apartment I was thinking it's a single male sim whose boyfriend left him for a richer man living in Del Sol Valley. But the apartment used to be his boyfriends originally and he took everything that he owned. So now this sim is having to buy new well everything and put himself together after being cheated on. 😢

My cat at all times during the day time will bite me to say hey feed me even though it's 2-3 hours before dinner time or anytime I have to open a container especially a Pringles can she is immediately like hey share with me and try to lick a chip or eat all my crumbs or you name it
