Hello after i adjust a IS12 with the voltage at 3.6V i can not do Basic Setings " Initial Adaptation of charge pressure actuator" ,i hear the noise of moving but at the end i recive the Message "Aborted For Safety Reason" on VCDS.I try to do the Basic Setings with Voltage from 3.4 V to 4.4 V but the same error. The car drive normally and no Error on VCDS.Any ideea how can i do a Basic Setings?I try also "Position check of end stop of charge air pressure actuator" and i can do with Succes after few atempts.
Idk about the newer cars but on a old mk4 if you dont have a n249 valve and your waste gate is improperly adjusted it can over boost and blow up.
Is there a benefit to adjust the voltage closer to max or minimum. In your video it ranged from 3.5-3.9 but when checking through obd11 and it shows 3.638 should I adjust it to that exactly
I’m getting this exact problem now and my mechanics have not seemed to figure out after fixing a boost leak
i think mine is having this issue after the dealership replaced my defective turbo on my s3 audi. it worried me as i wasn't thinking this is the cause since the replacement was done years ago. only recently i flashed out my ecu with cobb that the extra boost power seems to have made the car run at its peak which stock maps don't need it to run at max at all.
Does anyone know where I can do this adjustment and how much it might cost?
Nice video! i have a little issue with my Td04-19t on my saab 9-3. In 2nd and 3rd gear it does have 1.6 bar all the way up to redline (sometimes rarely it holds 0.5 bar when i floor it wich is base boost pressure) Yesterday i went for a top speed run and a 60-120 test but in 4th and 5th gear in high rpms is only has max 0.5 bar. Barely could get to 120 with 330hp at the crank. My previous setup had a T25 widh about 240hp which got to 150 mph and ideas? I have a heavy duty forge wastegate with a 0.8bar spring in it
Can u run basic setting first charge pressure adapaptation on your obd 11 device
It's possible that boost regulation fault doesn't even bring on the epc or engine check light and your overspeeding turbo goes pop and dies...in the worse case taking the engine with it..
What if it’s PCM controlled? Would it just keep pushing until it hit normal PSI?
what's the part number of the old IS38 actuator?
Hello there. I have a question. Unfortunately it's not about westgate installation. But i've come to the conclusion that you know quite a lot about vw golf 7's and i have a question about my rear lights. I have a 2017 Golf mk7, 125hp, manual transmission. I tried to replace my stock rear lights with the dynamic ones. The installation went fine with all the cables and stuff. The problem is that when i'm either blinking to the left or right or both, it's only the outer ones that blink and in the dashboard it's blinking double speed, but the rear lights aren't blinking double speed themselves :D
I hoped that you might be able to help me :) I hope that made sence and i would love to hear from you guys.
Hi Sungam, you may need to get a hold of a vcds cable and software in order to code the new lights
Is there a proper way to adjust the waste gate as I’m having this issue with my f30 N55 pwg.
Its possible to overrun the turbo if dont adjust the wastegate correctly?
basically yes
Thank you for quick clear message. Dealing with turbo/cat issues in my mini.
Paul, I is38 swapped my car using the is20 gate and I can’t ever get the voltage values to change when adjusting the rod. “ with the car running” still says 1.6v yet now after messing with it the car hits target boost and no longer goes into limp mode but still reads 1.6volts
Did you ever figure out why? mine is doing the same but no EPC light and is boosting fine.
@@pedlow2012 buddy showed me how to do it just cycling the ignition it shows the value for a second or two. Got it adjusted it was just a bit low 3.4v. Also I think my issue was a lot of the time I thought I was spinning the rod when i really wasn’t.
Thanks mine shows 1.6v at idle but if you’re on boost it shows 3.4v will I still need to change it?
@@pedlow2012 so with your cobb ap on, assuming that’s whAt your monitoring the voltage with, just cycle your key to the running position “don’t fully start the car” it’ll show the voltage for a second, hmm my car would just occasionally get overboost codes when I was at 3.4v
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻, Very true, that happened to me, when I used MHD stage 2 E30 my waste gate went bananas !
You have said nothing, you are just trying to make videos without sense
