Something about game grumps makes you really feel that they are your friends. Hearing the crowd immediately sing the song, even though I don't know him personally, I end up being so proud of Danny and Brian for how far they've come since The Sacred Chalice.
Very well said! I agree, especially about how it feels like they really are your friends. Maybe because watching their show is like hanging out with them for hours at a time, hearing their stories and about their lives in amongst the jokes and everything. 😊
He actually gets offended when people ask how much auto-tune he uses. You can tell why--he doesn't need it. The only thing that can possibly make his live performances worse than his releases is not being able to do multiple takes.
I dont think he edits himself much in terms of capability enhancements in studio. I think mostly he uses layering of his voice if anything, which really helps when reproducing the same quality live because he hasn't set an unrealistic standard in studio. He doesn't need it anyway, his voice is powerful and he has a pretty wide range as well.
charles alexander yeah he doesn't do anything other than some reverb which doesn't change the voice, just the area around the voice. he does double his vocals but thats not really a technical effect because all he's doing is singing the song over again on a different track layered over the original, which doesn't change the vocal quality.
I was here for this, I wasn’t a big NSP fan but my gf was and had two tickets. I went to Melbourne (I live in Sydney) and saw them live, it was amazing. Better than when I saw Bon Jovi, this song went off and I loved every second.
I love that the crowd is singing the whole song with him. It's like... they're the ones telling the current Danny how proud they are of him and how far he's come.
I love how he's written this song to himself and it's one of those songs the whole crowd really resonates with so they're all singing the lyrics back at him, it's very full circle
I was at the Hawaii show, their last one on this tour. I was so happy when the crowd started singing along, everyone loved their work and knew it by heart, and sing along. I wonder how it must feel for Danny and Brian when they hear how well recognize their music is.
I was a bit nervous to go to this thing as I never went to a concert before then, but the moment I walked in, and especially when I heard this song, I was like ‘yeah... these are my people...’
I can’t put into words how this song makes me feel. Trust me, I tried. I can say one thing, it makes me feel proud. It’s made for an audience, and that’s why I am super pissed I couldn’t get tickets. Cant wait until the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour clears up and we can get a real tour going!!
I was at this concert! I didn't actually know TWRP were a band until then and now I'm immediately in love with Doctor Sung and his high kicks and hip dancing ❤
Watching this is really surreal, I really want to be in Dan’s position and be able to make a song where the crowd can chant a part that is in the original song. It’s amazing
This song and THIS PERFORMANCE gives me such an adrenaline super happy warm feeling that it just makes me cry with so much love and appreciation for these guys
This is the kinda song that, when lockdown ends, you goto karaoke night at bars. You play this song.. Whoever in the crowd sings it along with you... You know they're a new potential friend.
I will add on to all the comments mentioning how beautiful and heartwarming this is, but I will also shout out all the fans who went "Where did he get a centaur?" unprompted.
I'm so glad youtube recomended me this video! And more importantly thank you for the recording! I live in a country way far from tour routes, so this is pratically the only way I get to see shows like these...
ugh i always get really bittersweet feelings from these!! i totally missed my chance of going to see them, and i get super jealous from watching Heat of The Moment and the other live videos :(
All my love from England, Being 17, in a global pandemic, having to. deal with stupid and meaningless college, this song really lifts my soul up and gives me hope in these very weird and uncertain times. Rock on NSP!!! Beautiful crowd I'd give anything to be here haha! Hope everyone is staying safe.
I really hope they come to Denmark as part of their Europe tour :0 The energy from this concert can be felt through the recording, and that is something I desperately want to experience
This song legitimately just made me cry. Anybody who says Danny can’t sing or can’t perform, you’re fucking wrong. That band is the best thing to happen since Brentalfloss.
The original song/video is amazing in itself. I found this live version yesterday and was instantly brought to tears. I didn't expect everyone to sing along, belting it out. I live for the day I can see you guys in concert. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for this song. I wish I could go back to 12 year old me and have this exact conversation. You guys are awesome!
I am re-watching uploads from their shows in Australia and just watching this gives me goosebumps. I went to the Sydney show and the atmosphere of the place was incredibly amazing. Thanks for uploading this! :)

The line, "Come on you are a star tonight," always seemed so cool and having the entire crowd chant it back to him is so awesome.
I cried a little the first time I ever heard him sing it.
THE line of the song
I shed a manly tear for Danny Sexbang. Especially at this part.
Yeah, and I'm surprised Danny didn't cry xD
This is my favorite version of this song, just for those two seconds.
The fact the ENTIRE audience yells "Where did he get a centaur?" is fucking amazing. This is great.
i don't hear it
@@LoopMasterBulu You can hear it at 2:30 its faint but at least a third of them said it.
Piercing Sirens nope, can’t hear shit.

It's insane how perfect his live performance of this song is. Such an amazing vocalist.
He actually gets offended when people ask how much auto-tune he uses. You can tell why--he doesn't need it. The only thing that can possibly make his live performances worse than his releases is not being able to do multiple takes.
Exactly, he has a shaky voice live, but that's not because he's a bad singer, he's going through hour-two hour sets, and is hella anxious, like cmon

@@XivioOfTheGreen yes!! I hope so too!
There are high quality versions of this song everywhere. So why watch this video?
Because you can hear the crowd, and thats a whole other feeing.
The audience makes it higher quality, in my opinion.

To most musicians/music artist, it means everything! I am an aspiring singer, it would mean everything to me, that people love my music that much!

“I’m an aspiring singer.”
Do we need to bring the Danny quote in here? Get that “aspiring” garbo outta here my dudeeee.

i'm so proud of them. i love them all so much. they deserve every bit of happiness they get in life.
rock on!
i love how everyone sings along perfectly
I just came from Conan's recording of this song, and this was so much better with the music. I can't quite pin down why this one is so much better.
Literally did the same thing, it think it's just the sheer energy from this one that makes it that much better. So great!
The audience participation
The sound mixing is better. His voice has more presence over the track. He's a lot less nervous in this environment.
Nick Powers and the fact he can say “FUCK”
