Elmira, ON Siren Ambience (STH-10s) Siren Test 10/15/22

So I went to Elmira to see if they had started testing the Downtown Model 5 yet this year but nope as there is a market just next door so that's probably why they didn't include this 5 in the siren tests. Even though the Model 5 didn't go off I got an AWESOME and creepy ambience of the 2 STH-10s being set off from where I was recording at the Township Admin Building. Enjoy!
- Location: Woolwich Township, Elmira, ON, Woolwich Twp Admin Building
- Siren(s): Federal Signal STH-10A and Federal Sign & Signal STH-10A
- Testing: Saturdays at Noon
- Today's Testing: 12:02 PM and 12:03 PM.
- Other Siren Enthusiasts: None
- Siren Info: N/A
- Purpose: Emergency sirens
- Past Purpose: (Lions Park was installed in 2004 as an emergency siren) (Fire Hall was installed in 1973 and used as the EFD's fire siren until the early 2000s).

Nice! That 2nd one sounds a little higher pitched.

Yep the 2nd one is the 480V 3 Phase STH-10 at the Fire Hall (Former fire siren)

@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 yeah. The 480 is capable of overcoming the drag. Which makes it go faster. Normally the motor’s rpm stays the same no matter what the voltage is.

0:15 how did u get a notification of the siren acivating?

I just set it up on my computer so when they are activated I can get alerts about that.
