Nice job. I recall the Stack Strap band that Blake released some years ago. It was a steel band lashing, but that nylon or plastic band looks like an improvement.

Weirdly I really enjoyed this video😊. Thanks for the guide, I'll be using this to put up a weather station on my chimney with that ratcheting bracket. Thank god I dont have to drill into the chimney

I'm an HFC (hybrid fiber/coax) tech here in the states, its cool to see someone doing a similar job across the pond.
The pitch of that roof is so steep it is making me uncomfortable over video. Lol
Only thing I would change is to make a much longer jumper for your SLM, I use a 2m jumper on both my in and out port. Makes taking measurements so much easier, though my meter is 7x-8x that size and heavy as sin. So holding it up like you are is not a fun option in my case.

Ouch! those steel bands are razor sharp when cut hope you didn't hurt your hands!

    Great 👍🏻 video
    Nice installation,
Do you carry spare 13mm nuts for v bolts
As its a climb down if you drop 1,😮
Longer test lead, for meter may be better
Also a strap for the meter so it's not slipping off the roof
Just some observations, tips, etc, from a fellow installer
Not being a smarty pants 😅
    Good job, quick aswell,
    Keep em coming,
Ps, we get some epic views,
Summer soon, need the sunscreen not the hat, 😅
Also easier taping up, when it gets warmer, not having to remember to keep it in my pocket so I can actually use it, if you get me,

Keep on giving us the great content, 👍🏻

If I'm not very much mistaken that looks like a wideband aeriel. So it's not a incredibly old aeriel. The pole looks pretty ancient though.

I'm talking about the original installation by the way. The new installation you carried out is top class!

Absolutely bang on mate. Should never have been fitted anyway as it’s far to heavy for that size pole and bracket. It was a diy job apparently though so I’d let them off 😄

      @@aardvarkinstallsAre the chimney brackets heavy?

@@aardvarkinstalls Well can the brackets weaken the chimney by adding weight?

20:57 is the aerial on the left out of alignment?

It must be, it was balancing on the top as well, looked loose.
Mine was pointing the correct way anyway 😆
