The real estate prices are ridiculous in Idaho, considering what you get. Very informative video...helps a lot if you're considering purchasing real estate there.
Interesting video. I used to down that road now, I just stay in Paradise in Idaho where I now live at almost the same elevation as Boise, but land now as opposed to when I moved here in '93 is a bit high. I bought 17 acres with two power poles, springs, lots of forest and about half relatively level (for Idaho). Neighbors told me I was getting robbed for paying $2200 an acre. I don't know what it might be worth now, but a 5-acre plot (I used to own) with a two story medium to small home is up for sale for $530,000. I just fed some grain to some of the turkeys I feed each day along with the 8 deer. I live 20 air miles from the largest wilderness area outside of Alaska. It's raining now but it got up to 70 degrees two days ago. Our region which has a 56-mile long reservoir, and the deepest canyon in North America, three of Idaho's largest rivers as well as Idaho's longest river, and Idaho's only seaport. And we even even have counties that are losing population, not my county, but oh well. No interstates in our region, but a university and a state college. Eat your heart out, rest of Idaho.

On your video I see a lot of cloud seeding/chemtrails. Do you know what the quality of soil, air and water is?
Idaho has been cloud seeding for decades. idwr.idaho.gov/iwrb/programs/cloud-seeding-program/
You can also go to that website to find other results for water testing around the valley. The quality of air, soil, and water would vary greatly by location through out the state, and even throughout each city (well the soil would be the most micro-location dependent.) In general, in the Boise area, the water quality is considered good. but of course "good" means a lot of different things to different people. And yes, there are chem trails here and I would venture to say that there is nowhere in our country to live that won't have chem trails. I know the soil quality (if you are referring to contamination levels as your quantifier for "quality") in the Treasure Valley is much better than in Northern Idaho where they had such horrible contamination from silver mining in the past that there were superfund sites. The wells in our area generally have good water but can lean high in naturally occurring arsenic, which can be taken care of with the right filtration systems. I would take a look at cancer cluster rate data if you are comparing our area to other areas as well.

How is the Boise area going to solve the traffic?
Well, like any other city. Just keep working away at it, and probably never catch up with growth. You can find any city plans for new roads/highways/projects on the Idaho Department of Transportation website.
@@SummerAstonRealEstate...they should build a beltway from micron to Kuna out to blackcat area to the foothills and run along the foothills to southeast Boise and back to micron area.....
@@anthonypierce007 yes - that would work - they should do something more for sure! They widened 44 out by Star to four lanes but now they are building all these buildings RIGHT on the road, so with over 10,000 homes comes to Star and West Eagle in the next 20 years, I don't know how they expect everyone to fit on highway 44 without some type of belt loop like Salt Lake did.
How about all those transplants move out, Idaho is overcrowded and over priced. It was an awesome place to live until it got flooded with all of the out of staters coming and changing this place, designing and changing things like the places they already ruined. Oh and being here 5 to 10 years does not qualify you as a local.
