Was anyone else blown away by Ed's comments at the 6:30 mark?
eerie
yupppp
Chilling 😢
Came to say this. Am leveled by it.
Me too, brother. Me too
Please keep Cartoonist Kayfabe going. There is no other commentary like this on CZcams.
"I'm Ed Piskore" "And I'm Jim Rugg" I'm sad now
Ed's warning about people getting off on tearing people down hits hard.
Hi Jim. If you need to let the channel go then let it go. You’ve given us all more than enough. thanks.
I agree. Thank you for posting this Jim, but please know that noone will hold it against you if it gets too much. Love.
Cartoonist Kayfabe Forever! ❤
I made a panel about Frank Miller in the Comic Connversion of my country exploring his trajectory as a creator. This comic is the one that people always seem blown away by the fact that is not talked that much, as it never existed. For me is one of my favourite works of his as an epic satire that still resonates.
"There's a lot of haters out there"...I cried.
i hoping JIM keeps this going. somedays this is all that cheers me up
Yeah, the Cartoonist Kayfabe family is pretty deep, definitely will be different without Ed, but it is possible. Cartoonist Kayfabe Forever!
Miss him already.
His enthusiasm was infectious.
This is the only Miller title I had not read! His MW ideas are a totally different context from his other works, intriguing as F.
RIP EP/ miss you guys.
Keep it coming Jim, much love!
This is one I definitely want to read now. I always considered Elektra Lives Again as Frank Miller's masterpiece, but there's still a ton of his work I've never read.
I love you, guys! Ed will live forever in all the inspiration he gave so many of us
Every new episode that remains is a gift to us who love the medium. Thanks Ed and Jim. You guys meant a lot to so many of us.
This is probably my favorite Frank Miller. I'm so glad y'all had this episode in the back log. Please keep making episodes.
This is so damn heartbreaking 💔
Every episode is a gift. Thank-you for posting Jim.
Kayfabe Army Forever
Much love to you Jim. Rest in peace Ed. Cartoonist Kayfabe ROCKS!!!
Still my favorite CZcams channel! Thank you for posting, Jim, hope you are well. Thank you Ed for entertaining and entertaining us, you are loved and greatly missed. Give me CK or give me...lesser comic videos. No, just give me CK!
One of my favorite books. RIP ED. ThanX Jim.
Ed would be happy to know that I bought almost all of the Martha Washington comics for less than 50¢ each in 2019 and met a fellow Kayfaber while I was at digging in the longboxes. Thanks for posting these Jim ❤️🩹
I sincerely hope you recorded all 4 issues. One of the best channels still!!
Hard to listen to Ed’s voice and not get sad
You made me want to reread it.
Almost to 92k subscribers!
Thank you.
Make Mine Cartoonist Kayfabe!
Don't know why but Ed's passing hit me hard earlier today. It's absolutely insane he is gone. Thank you Jim for posting. That's all. LOVE.
Holy crap I remember seeing ads for this in the 90s as a kid.
Thanks for posting this Jim, you and Ed got me reading this. I hope you guys did all four issues.
Hope you're doing well
Love the commentary about the villain, good villains are so important with these kinds of stories. And, as Ed said, so often are the villains lacking.
Glad to see an upload!
Don't know how many videos are left. Kinda nervous about the future of this channel. Either way I hope Jim can keep this running. Good luck Jim. R.I.P. Ed. My prayers to the Piskor family. Many blessings to all.
Keep em comin'. I live for Kayfabe!
What is a great morning meal like? Breakfast of your choice and drink of your choice with Cartoonist Kayfabe right down the center!
Martha Washington's War Diary; there's an eight(?) page b&W ash-can, on newsprint (I don't know if I still have it to be honest) which details a chance meeting in New York between Martha and the tax collecting agent Nixon of Miller's Hard Boiled during IIRC some kind of a civil war. Great stuff as always, I'll be sorry to see this current iteration of Kayfabe go. Peace and love all.
Got into this channel a few months ago. 😢
I want that crt tv! Thanks again for sharing this great content
We thought Alan Moore was a wizard but it was really Dave Gibbons all along
Thank you Jim...
Thanks for posting this Jim!
Still hurts!
RIP
The boys, bringing that real information in the first few minutes, and we talking comics right? Right!?
Jim, I wish I could have asked Ed for his favorite references for inking. What do you think he would have said?
Hey Jim. Condolences. Things have to be pretty fucking rough.
Sorry if I'm bothering you, just a fan hoping you can find some way to keep CK going.
There's certainly no replacement for Ed. But I bet he would have wanted it that way.
Maybe Gibbons will be willing to cover the last two issues?
❤
I'm crushed all over again... 6:30 he talks about the haters...talks about having a thick skin...talking about the 2 people who thumb down each cast... What the Hell!! Was that goddamn sack of crap Villalobos one of them!?!
🔥💙🔥
Pick someone Jim....keep this channel going. 👍🏻
Draft exemption for college students was definitely a thing during Vietnam. My father and uncle both managed to avoid that war because they were in University, my wife's uncle not so much. He was killed on base in Vietnam by a terrorist. The killer was a trusted local who worked in the chow area. One day she wore a bomb to work and let it rip inside the mess-hall right where her uncle was eating.
