The zip in little Jonny's onesie got jammed a fortnight ago & we can't cut him out of it on lock down so he's been sleeping in the shed. Those seeds you gave us turned out to be Dutch cheese, which we are selling in return for food so Mandy can come off the game & get back to college.
Did you ever get that rash cleared up? I needed antibiotics & I had to disinfect the back bedroom but the new paper is darling & what a night we had. Please send the money to replace Jonny's paintball gun, we really sullied it.

He was wasn't he? Very few comedians are this gifted. Most aspire to this level of skill. He had a natural talent to make people laugh. The only other people I can think of that were at this level were the late Robin Williams and, of course, Barry Humphries. All three make me laugh and are my 'go to' comedians when I need cheering up. RIP Sean - still shocked at you leaving us so early. 58 is no age.

It’s very rare that news of a “public” person’s demise makes me cry. Like, really cry, and experience waves of sadness days later. And still am - RIP Sean Lock and most tender and comforting thoughts with his family and loved ones x

Being from the US I only discovered him after he passed and oh boy. I understand why he's so beloved.
I love hearing how Sean was always funny off-camera too. Bill Bailey said he spoke to Sean on the phone when he was in the hospice a week or two before he passed, he asked him what it was like in there. Sean's reply was "It's alright in here actually, and the sex is amazing!".

I wonder if the panelists write their own jokes and bring their own mascots for the show or, as someone (a self-professed panelist on the show) once asserted in the comments to one of the videos, there are writers who write a mound of jokes which then get distributed (and Sean just gets the best ones). Some are definitely his amazing ranting, but these letters...

I'm as sad today as I was when I heard David Bowie had passed. Sean will be a huge miss to the world, he brought real laughter into any situation.

Yeah, this feels exactly like Bowie for me as well. So few celebrities that I care enough about to be genuinely sad but these two are pretty much at the top for me. Ridiculous that it feels like a friend died.

One of the most naturally gifted comedians, i met him in Gatwick Airport in around 2012 and he was as funny in the flesh as what he was on TV. Sadly missed R.I.P Sean.

I've spent the last two hours watching old clips like this, and found myself feeling genuinely upset about a celebrity passing away for the first time in my life. So brilliantly, uniquely funny. A true all time great.

Sean always presented his comedy as if he was a grumpy old man. But everybody who knew him universally said he was the nicest most generous person you could meet. I have a friend who does some amateur comedy, he met Sean in a a number if occasions. He said the same as everybody else.
Not only have we lost a great comedian but also a wonderful human being. My thoughts go out to all his family and friends.

We ( myself and partner) were lucky enough to witness his incredible talent twice live in London, and he was without question the best stand up I’ve ever seen.
