i personally think ur making all of this up
If game ticks are so cool, why isn't there a game ticks 2??
What are you gonna do about it punk
Next by release when
XD!
J1mmy is a quester not a bosser lol
Started in Lumbridge, did cook assistant, flick ticked while milking the cow, and boom got my inferno cape. Thank you for the great tutorial !
There's a lactose intolerance joke here somewhere
@@TheCarpenterUnion Way to milk the joke
Damn I needed to get my 10k gp from stronghold of Security before getting my inferno cape. Ur really good
Not being hyperbolic at all, this is the single best and most concise high level guide for mechanics I've seen for OSRS ever. You did a great job explaining some of this stuff, even if I knew some of it already.
*Purplegod would like to know your location*
It was a good guide though for sure
The moment he says, prayer flicking doesnt work like that at all, im like finally some1 gona explain me this stuff for real. "Sits up right, gets closer to computer"
Thanks for saving me the time to write this. The humour was just a plus too
well done
This stuff has been in nh and lms guides for years honestly and is pretty basic pk knowledge. 7asty put it in a "pvm" vid and explained stuff pretty well though
just finished up the video, got my first infernal cape + all inferno grandmasters tasks + pet in one go! Thanks 7asty!
Zog!
Cap?
@@titvngaming7693 obviously lol
@@titvngaming7693 you doubt the info given in this video? i pretty much became woox instantly after watching this.
@@titvngaming7693 did you seriously have to ask if it was cap lolol.
To be honest, I only got better at Runescape when I learned Demonic Gorillas, then when I learned LMS. Most of RS isn't about actively increasing your skill level, its more knowledge and in game levels.
i agree with you, once i learned to do demonic gorillas its like i became a whole new player cuz i learned about the prayer switching, gear switching, listening to sound cues for attack styles switches, demonic gorillas its like a hidden gem to become better at the game lol
Did you use any guides?
I mean the game isn't about maxing at all if you make an acc with the goal to max you be there for a while
@@issues8084everyone plays differently. I love getting better at combat both pvm and pvp. Having faster switches, clicking more times per second and more accurately, paying attention to everything; it's fun for me. Some people enjoy sitting through rune crafting and mining till 99.
Pro tip, you can eat when not in an attack cycle (currently attacking a mob) and then attack on the same tick. When a monster dies you are not in an attack cycle so you can eat before attacking the next mob and not loose dps. The best use case is zulrah as you can fit in 2 eats in transitions.
Also a good idea to eat at Vorkath when he spits the freeze. Always a good thing to take advantage of dead time.
@@simmerke1111 yup count 6th attack. The freeze doesn't do dmg with prayer off too from what I can tell. So I prayer off, swap, and eat.
I love when tasty talks down to me.
For anyone intimidated by how long 7asty said it took him to get good at these combat mechanics, don't be! It's just a matter of experimentation and practice. Go to Sepulchre for pathing, solo GWD for 1 tick flicking, try lazy flicking an easy boss like Grotesque Guardians, etc. A lot of bosses give you an advantage if you can spot where to use these mechanics. It's about spotting opportunities and taking them. Another skill 7asty didn't mention (which is fair) is knowing when NOT to use them. 1 tick flicking is great and all, but if it makes you lose ticks, maybe don't use it. Solo Arma is a great example. It's really easy to make a mistake if you're trying to 1 tick flick while alternating targeting the melee minion and Kree (just be discerning enough to know if it's really because you need more practice). It's also not worth sweating it if it cuts into your enjoyment of the game so much that you're losing kc by losing interest in your goal and going off to do something else. Everyone has a different balance.
Giant Mole is the best boss in the game.
I practiced flicking on dharok so i could get big smacked whenever I messed up lol
seeing tasty transform from a noob to an absolute chad really makes me happy
"We're going to start off with some L movement" ... proceeds to plank team
I think you have a unique audience through making high level content but keeping it simple and entertaining for anyone to watch. You’re probably the best RS CZcams to break down mechanics for a wider audience to understand. Keep making videos like this! I’m not part of any HLC but I understand ticks well enough to use them purposefully during gameplay, having a video like this explaining some finer details and helping visualize what’s happening helps speed up the process of trial and error and muscle memory by a lot.
From the bottom of my heart - thank you!
I've been playing for many years at this point and have quite almost maxed my ironman, but this video really taught me a lot of things I had no idea of. I always had trouble bossing and I knew it was due to my ignorance towards ticks in RS, but you really managed to explain it in a way, I'm sure the majority would be able understand. This motivates me like never before.
Your guides are genuinely some of the best on CZcams, and watching them has made me much better at the game, and I'm having a lot more fun because of it. Thank you so much for what you do 7asty
We need more videos like this! Great job explaining this. Even a pleb like me was able to follow along.
This is the single best guide to explaining how ticks work in relation to movement and prayer I have seen, I was also flicking wrong. Thanks a ton I'v been trying to learn more about game ticks and this has made a lot of things make a lot more sense
This is legitimately the single most helpful mechanic video I’ve ever watched about the game. Thank you for making this
thanks for making this; we need more content on the meta-skills it takes to get good at OSRS. I thought I was decent before I started running CG, that was a hell of a learning curve.
Another good tip to prayer flick is to turn on the "Never hide prayer flick helper" option under the prayer plugin in runelite. Turn on your prayer and double click whenever the blue arrow starts on the left side of the prayer orb.
You can make your true-tile change color every tick with the "visual metronome" plugin too(or just use the visual metronome it puts on the screen). I found it a big help in getting used to tick manipulation methods.
@@metznoah Thanks for that I actually didn't know that one
High level content in an easy to digest package. My new favorite RS channel period.
Its about time someone made a guide like this, it took me 10 years playing this game to learn this stuff and I just wish I had of seen this when I started because the trial and error I went through was horrible, iv seen a few of tests vids while learning inferno but this brought a new respect to the man for taking the time out to help people understand mechanics. You just got yourself a mee sub. Keep up the great work man.
It took me about 1 year to become proficient at the methods. Obviously if you train with a mentor with intent then you can probably master it in a week or two, but no one is that sweaty at rs off the bat lol. For me I just liked watching a lot of intense top level pvm and pvp content and I tried replicating everything they do. Through some trial and error I got each technique down fairly quickly, but I do have some consistency issues 😅
Amazing video 7asty! Love your content and your streams. This was an excellent explanation of how game mechanics work most of it has been trial and error for me watching other ppl kill bosses but this explains why they're doing it and the effects it has. Thank you sir!
Oh wow, I've been doing the 'lazy flicking' for years. Anytime something attacked with an odd tick cycle I would have a very difficult time getting it right. I never knew about the one tick flicking.
Will be honest never expected the best high level mechanics guide to be from you, this tops the PurpleGod guides, cheers, sending this to all my friends struggling with pvm
man i came back to this game in october after a 15 years.. game is still the same but changed so much at the same time. i enjoy just clicking and looking..
I’ve just started noticing the click timing. Thanks for explaining it so I could understand it. I like you, and subscribed.
dude legit the simplest and most easy to understand guide. I would recommend this for literally all players
This is fantastically succinct, nicely done! Love your content!
Great video! Really nice to have a Grandmaster to share his wisdom with us. Thank you Sensei 🙏
new to the game and i mve been following your channel. makes these grinds tolerable great content man
Been watching your content lately, this the video that made me have to subscribe. Good explanation 💪🏽
Gaminggggg! Love the vid king! ❤️
Concise and super well put together dude. You can turn a noob into a pro
This was the perfect video for someone (ya boi) who's just getting into the early stages of late game PvM content. The flicking and ticking are things I have a decent time implementing pre-watching this video, but the pathing part was something I had no idea about the exact mechanics
Instantly subbed after seeing your attitude and style of the video. Hope the rest of the content is this good! I remember J1mmy shouting you out once before as well.
This is genuinely the best advice for late game runescape overall, GG tasty
Clicked right away
1 tick?
@@InforaTreat damn right
Thanks, buddy! Coming back to the game after years to relive my childhood. This was a great in-depth guide in mechanics I never considered before. Elvarg isn't going to stand a chance!
Nice mate, love learning OSRS stuff from you
tbh even knowing the game mechanically, this is still a good refresher and confirmation for some people
THANK YOU! That explains so much more why I felt like I couldn't get the prayer flicking right!!!
holy crap I learned how to one tick flick!!! Once you told me the icon will never turn off I understood it. I noticed I can only do it with quick prayers I can't get it down with the prayer icons. Thank you so much this means so much to me. I already knew the pathing stuff from your gauntlet video. It helps to know the information, but I'm not sure how to implement it specifically at gauntlet because I am trying to learn corrupted and just can't get perfect runs. I have 75 regular kc but for some reason I can't do corrupted, I've literally got him down to 7 hp and ran out of food.
this is the tasty conent i love, just him giving his thoughts on something about the game, i missed these ones tasty
The pathing explanation helped a lot. Always wondered how I could run through the tornadoes in the gauntlet or why I would get hit when I didnt appear to be on a hit tile.
I genuinely really enjoy all your content.
I have done all this content without a total understanding of this.. my god this was an amazing watch!
After this video i think im ready for the inferno, 1kc typa thing. for that reason u earned my sub
im actually practising the pathing and movement in the hallowed scelpture thing. It's pretty good to learn
This is surprisingly informative and accurate. Wasn't expecting that lol
pathing and movement was something i had never even considered and is ridiculously useful to see. thanks ♥
Explaining condescending condescendingly actual goated move right there
I've been prayer flicking wrong the hole time. thanks Tasty, this is gonna help me so much.
The only thing I have learned here today is a sick ass phrase that I am going to start using. "Comparison is the thief of joy" - Tasty
Quick, someone make an inspiration quote meme
This is an absolutely incredible guide. Thanks 7asty!
The only one i wasn't aware of is the movement/pathing ... the attack cycles i learned due to f2p pvp for that quick 2h swap and the prayer flick was due to training slayer on pure while being poor.
Good vid dude.
Same i learned how to lazy flick on accident trying to save prayer pots 😂
Right on tasty this is a huge video
My favorite balding RuneScaper.
Learning absolutely nothing never felt this great. Still very jealous of your slayer helm though. Keep it up!
What an amazing video, very well described and very helpful!
Perfect!!! Thank you very much for the video!
Very good explanation !
reminds me a lot of purplegod's videos about the same stuff, very nice vid tasty
loved the vid and the tick explenation.
This is exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you. I'd appreciate videos going further into depth
i stayed until the end cause im madly in love with you, plus i love the ending song
Great guide. I've looked into ticks before and understand the basics from experience but seeing them visualized and hearing the metronome is quite eye opening.
You bring up a great point at 3:30 that may not be so intuitive. Since game ticks are so long, there's a huge window for input; if you're not sync'd with things like XP drops it's going to end up being much less reliable.
10/10 video, ultra in-depth!
I always have to wonder who dislikes vids cus this was really informative. I had a general idea but couldn't really understand. Definitely gonna watch this vid a couple more times while practicing in CoX.
Amazing guide. Thank you so much, you’ve earned my updoot and bell.
This man and this video is seriously 7asty
'Comparison is the thief of joy' - Only 7asty
Wow, insta subscribe. Visually seeing the ticks and clicks demonstrated is super helpful.
Appreciate this so much big dog
Your videos are the best. Your satire is amazing
Best way to be good at Runescape is to enjoy the game and if not take breaks cause in the end you're playing games for fun and not only to get high stats or achievements even if that's what the fun is coming from.
Chapte nub

Fun fact: Learning how to 1-tick prayer flick is also very useful for real life scenario's too! It's the same tempo for performing CPR, so in a medical emergency, if you feel comfortable enough to perform CPR, then you already have the rhythm embedded in your head from learning how to save your prayer pots on a childrens game!
damn I had no clue, now I can flex my perfect 1tick CPR to everyone
Holy shit I just imagined myself doing cpr with the sound of quick prayers coming on and off every 0.6 seconds 😂😂😂
Man ur guides on how the game is set up and works is so motivating and the fact that u have nothing against telling us u where a noob for 3 years (Lets be honest everyone exaggerate so u were a noob for 5 years) makes it much more motivating to learn since it does take time and effort but its also when the game gets really great. U do really deserve the same amount of subs as the goats of content creation. - Your vids are incredible and u have a gift at explaining. Super happy i found ur channel. Keep it up
Thanks for the breakdown of information! Solid Video.
Deserved the sub.
Been watching all of your videos. You got me back into RuneScape. I don’t really have anyone to play with or a clan to join so if you know anyone let me know! You’ve got yourself a new sub.
The man…the myth…the legend…
7asty you are my hero!
LMAO doujin's L-movement clip made it in. Love that man.
good video, nice cut g.
8:27 I died when that clip started to play
I learned that I have to become a skiller. Thanks Toasty Bress!
A lot of this stuff still applies to skilling efficiently lol. It’s not as imperative. But it’s not really imperative for combat activities either except the hardest of hard bosses. Most things you just need the right stats for.
Subbed after this. Amazing wish this had been made before I wasted countless hours of my life on inferno attempts. Great vid
Also, idea for my new fav RS player: loot from 1-99 slayer. All drops
This was extremely useful. A more in depth guide on these things would be sick
Madly in love…with the content
Tbh i never understood how to flik but now it makes sense I was turning it off really fast. Thnx dude your da man
I, for one, shall resign myself to skilling brainlessly while watching endless hours of CZcams, including videos that tell me how to actually get good, but will never use because I am trash.
Hey, thanks bro this was really amazing 😻
Nice vid man
New intro’s power level is >9000
Thanks Tasty! I’m prayer flicking the SUBSCRIBE button now
inferno "in your dreams" lmao hilarious
this was very helpful for me, I have played osrs for a few years now and id like to say I am good at the game. I know ticks quite well along with movement and those are big things but one thing that has always alluded me was doing 1tick prayer flicking i can 1 tick on monster attacks to use 0 prayer but never have I been able to keep it consistent but this video explained it perfectly. I was able to do 1 tick flicking consistently from the get go just needed a little explination
Was excited for a second, but i already knew all this :(
great vid for newbies though!
Thanks for the tips that weren’t obvious. If it weren’t for the inferno, I’d never have learned tick manipulation properly. But the tile movement and blowpipe breakdowns cleared up hazy spots perfectly! Makes me want to return and grind for my inferno cape 😭.
One thing I have always struggled with is the multitude of actions and procedures that some bosses require. What’s the deal with maintaining a solid rhythm? How to manage player movement, rapid gear switching, prayer/hp/stam levels, Twitch chat, a Ph.D dissertation, BURN WITH ME, and random Netflix shows, all at once?
I think it'd be cool to make a video going for the original Phosani Nightmare speed-run time of 7:00. It was so brutal they had to increase the time by 30 seconds. Then you can call yourself the OG Grandmaster
What do you call a snobby criminal going down the stairs?
A condescending con descending
Also. When you have the Bee Gees Stayin Alive constantly playing in your head every time you prayer flick.
Goat. This dude dropping jewels and breaking it down for you plebs give this man a sub
How do i like this video again. Holy shit thank you sir
Highkey galaxy brain move throwing out such a concise guide on the more in depth mechanics after such a substantial boost in subs.
