At 13:10, you see that the OSU receiver had fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Woodson. Should never have come down to the last play, but glad to see Marcus Ray get the interception.

This game laid the foundation for the great 1997 team, especially on defense. To shut out the Suckeyes in the second half in Columbus was amazing. Who knew after this game what laid ahead for the 1997 squad?

Not a terrible job by the 2022 Michigan squad holding OSU to 3 second half points in Columbus, either. ;-)

I miss Keith Jackson do the play by play. I also miss hearing the bands playing in the background during the game. The more recent broadcasts like on FoxNews, I hardly ever hear the bands; they must be far away.

I recall that the field was very wet in places, even when it shouldn't have been. As if it was done intentionally to slow down the faster(?) Michigan team. If so, it backfired on OSU. I remember that play, coming right at us (in the Michigan section at the bleachers).
Perhaps the best memory was after the game. No bad fans or cat calls. Walking out of the stadium, you'd think the Streets were full of people returning from a funeral. Or worse, like the walking dead under a gray sky. Go Blue!

Leeron Kopelman - these days I don't think some of this generation of fans would be so quiet , and I am sure their would be fights . This years game November 26 20016 will have lots animosity on the field and with fans . Some people take these games too far

@@kevinclarke7283 I’m only saying it’s a possibility. I think Georgia wins. If Ohio State could not handle Michigan, I can’t really see them handling Georgia very well either. Anyway. Let’s just beat TCU. Cheers.

On top of that it's ignorant. Guys slip all the time and the plays do not go as touchdowns. The reason is, defenses have safeties back to prevent such things. The reason the safeties didn't help in this case is because they were pulled up for run support, similar to how Michigan ran it. When that happens, your defense looks awful good, until a guy slips or gets beat. It's a high risk defense. You can't take the benefits of this sort of defense and then complain when you're burned by it.

@cjm5272 I love it when jackasses who can't spell try to rewrite history. In this game, Michigan had 299 yards of total offense and OSU had 304. A difference of 5 whole yards. That means you outplayed us all game? Your offense didn't do anything in the second half. And you really had only 2 decent drives in the first. We had 3 sacks, OSU had none.
And let's not talk about luck. You had a coach who loved to play ineligible players and he was lucky to get away with it for as long as he did.
