Lloyd Carr was a Hall of Fame coach, but I will always be frustrated that the talent-loaded offenses of the late '90s (and 2000) never managed to score all that many points consistently.
Hard to believe we lost to state and illinois that year...Lloyd definitely got on them and they won the rest of the games that season(!), but man that team was stacked.
What a game...I'm never going to forget that '99 team...so many comebacks and so many pros from that team. Go Blue!
The comeback kid did it against Notre Dame...I'm a Hawkeye and I love this.
Pretty good game and another incredible finish. Michigan had studs all over that defense, but they were so vulnerable down the middle all season long. Offensively, what a luxury to have Brady AND Henson, along with Terrell, Thomas and Knight as weapons.
I'm a huge ND fan, but Michigan is such an awesome program and a classic opponent. I never pull against Michigan unless they play the Irish of course.
Thanks Ram - your gracious comments are a credit to ND fans everywhere - most of whom I've found to be good folks as well. Hope we get another classic tomorrow (with UM winning by 4...),
I remember this game, going almost hysterical when Notre Dame couldn't get the last play off. Very exciting.
"Shades of Desmond Howard," my ass.
@boomps88 Yeah, I'm trying to block out the fact that he left us for ND. At least he's back with the good guys.
wow. that blitz at 29:40 was awesome
Look at all of the talent on that team, including future NFLers. Ah the good ole days.
@WolverineHistorian Agreed!!!!!!
HEY! if I remeber right, was this one of the few Michigan games where we started in a 3-4? was the reason because ND was running the option?
Wow that was an incredibly stupid late hit penalty committed by ND late in the 4th quarter...

What color are our facemasks? because it looks blue, but when on NCAA Football it looks more like Delware blue!
