Very, very solid and easy to watch detailed breakdown. Better video than most I have seen. Thank you.
The editing and production value looks really good and it’s informative without going to technical. Nice work!
You too 👍 Thank you
First time watching ur content, good stuff
Awesome video quality. Love to see that 238 performing! That’s what I carry during the summer. Easy to conceal in just some board shorts and t-shirt
Thanks Warren G! The Sig 238 Rocks!
Great video, subbed.
I’ve carried my 938 for years. Great pistol. You are right about the one piece guide rod. Got one ad it’s worth every penny. You get used to the snappiness over time.
Right on Tommy. Thanks
I kinda hate how much I paid for mine. But at the time it was like one of the only concealable 9MM handguns from a reputable brand. Now there’s a lot of them.
@@Sci-Mon1 yes bc they’re other micro 9s with more capacity
@@Guns_and_Outdoors_Channel Any idea WHERE I can get a one piece guide rod for the 938? Seems like they're all gone & the companies that make em went out of business.
Well done presentation 👏
Thanks P! 🤙
Really wish Sig would start making the P238 Legion again. Folks are charging an arm and leg for a used one on the secondary market, if you can find one.
You think a scorpion version is worth buying for 630$ new? That and in the ugly two tone one is on the market. I saw the rainbow for 850
My wife has a non legion P238 and first day shooting (any gun) she was putting fist sized groups at 7 yards. Did great for her as a first gun. Safety? She said she wouldn't be comfortable without one-all about what you train with.
My 1st shot with one @7yds was center bullseye.
I put it away. I figured that was all I needed.
for about 20mins and I to was hitting fist size groups.
What really impressed me with the P238 was Hickok 45 hitting the gong @80yrds with one. Best pockets pistol on the market IMO. Great buy!
I am a large man. I have played with handgun calibers from 22lr to 500 S&W. I recently came across a P238 Equinox that just called my name. Sure, bigger calibers can be more effective. But it does always come down to shot placement. I also can get fist sized groups at 7 yards with minimal effort. But I can get all six shots off significantly faster than with 9mm. People gonna make jokes about it being a girl gun, but I think I just found my new edc.
Love my 238, shoots great
My everyday IWB carry is a P229 Legion. These are cute but too small. I have a bunch of Legions, only hammer fired, metal and I carry them. If you want a really fine tuned Sig Sauer send your pistol to the Sig Armorer in Texas. My 226 Legion SAO RXP has a 1 pound 12 ounce trigger after the competition trigger job. Best Regards
I have the 229 legion and it’s my favorite pistol. I’ve been wanting to do that trigger job but it seems so pricy when the trigger is already good. Wish I could try one to see what’s it all about
Nice video on SIG
Thank you bro
do you know if the legion grip can fit on the regular p238?
I own and carry the p238 and p938 the legion models a beautiful well made guns but I chose the sport models in both because they come with the rubber grips with finger notches. This allows you to control the snap of these compact models mine also come with an extended mag which allows for another finger . The legions look cool but it wouldn’t be a carry option for me and the sport models can be found at a more reasonable price point so if you are considering one of these guns look into the sport model with rubber notched grips you won’t be disappointed
Correct. My hands are a medium size hand and the legion does not fit well. My pinky gets some rubbing. I picked up a kimber with extended rubber grip for the pinky and it felt so much better. Save money get the rubber grip version it feels better in the hand. I own the legion and should have tried the others out better before I made the choice
why is the legion not a carry option?
Like I said the legion is more expensive you can get the sport model much less and it has the molded rubber grips which feel better in the hand than the legion grips. Yes the legion would be fine for carry if you like the feel of the grips but personally with medium size hands I don’t care for them . Very nice gun though
I can get the p238 scorpion for 630$ do you think it’s worth it new?
@@dabol4423 I wish they had the legion new
If they could figure out 10 rounds in the 238/938, these would outsell any other micro compact guns.
Agreed 👍
I agree also!
The p238 is definitely not snappy, and is a phenomenal gun for a 1st time gun owner. Dont listen to that dude 🤣🤣. Nothing shoots smoother than this gun for its size. Me and my 60 year old mother both have one. Way smoother than a 38 special which is often recommended to fist time gun owners, and the trash s&w body guard 380 with its 50 pd trigger pull. I think this guy must not shoot micro guns.
Kudos for the great review. I've owned a P238 SAS for years, but it's seldom my carry weapon. No particular reason except perhaps the inherently low round count. I've been tempted over the years to buy the P938, but I already have several small carry 9mm pistols, most with higher capacity, so I've been unable to justify the purchase. However, I think it's still a highly desirable and viable solution for many. P.S. I live in Washington state, which recently passed legislation limiting us to 10-round magazines! This just made lower capacity .380s and 9mms considerably more attractive.
Update: I just purchased a P938 in response to the recent legislation in Washington State limiting carry weapon magazines to 10-rounds. Since I shoot better with hammer-fired weapons rather than striker-fired, as in the Sig P365, getting one was a no-brainer.
I love mine
Will grips fro
938 fit 238??
Respect 🫡
If sig made a double stack P938 it would be a HIT
A pocket 2011?
@@trillmixin6999 yes sir
Thats why I didnt buy the P938 and went with the Beretta PX4 Storm Compact
I’m looking at the P938 since it is a single stack and will be lighter than a higher capacity handgun.
@@Nix_Pardus You can still get a double stack and it being just as light as a single stack .... just dont fully load the double stack mag. With a double stack, you can keep it partially loaded for concealed carry and then have it fully loaded when plinking around with it
Love my p238 SAS so sorry they stopped the p238 Legion
Is the trigger weight lighter? The older 238 I had really had a heavy trigger.
My circa late 2012 238 has a nice trigger pull.
Love the P938 ordered my 2nd in Legion form!
Right on. Congratulations
I’m a new shooter, well I started in late Nov 2022, so about 2 months experience at the range. I tried the P938, and it feels good at shooting. Slow firing seems decent enough, but yea I feel the snappiness, but so bad in the first mag. But maybe because I need more training to build more strength, it wears me down. I feel tired and a little sore after 3 mags. First mag when I am “fresh” seems pretty good. Maybe in a real situation, the first mag is the most important anyway?
But I’ll keep training to build up my stamina holding and firing this so I won’t get so tired. when I’m tired, it’s hard to hold it steady and shoot it accurately.
Any good exercises I can do to build up the right core muscles here (without needing to go to the range and shoot a bunch at $0.35 per round… lol). I’m already trying to dry fire a bunch at home. But any other set of exercises I can do?
Do some forearm curls and squeeze a tennis ball. Its your wrist and hand strength thats causing an issue. I had the same issue at the start
Not sure of your goal, but most shooters have full sized pistols for range practice. A subcompact will never be fun to shoot for a extended session.
@@ironmonkey1512 Goal is not to tire out after 3 mags, esp in back and upper arms and shoulders. Though I can shoot, i lose accuracy. I do have P229 legion, Canik Combat Exec, SW MP9 Full-size, similar story. After 3 (maybe 4 mags), I get tired in the shoulders and upperback.
I would like this in DSA, no safety, like a mini 226.
Awesome guns and very expensives, I think they will have a double stack magazine for the price 🤔.
They’re no longer in production
where did you get your 1 pc guide rod?
Midwestgunworks
Own Sig P938.😎😎😎
One problem I have is that when you disengage the safety, it pinches the web of your hand between the thumb and fore finger. This is annoying, painful and startling if it happens in the gravest extreme. Perhaps it's due to the small grip size. I have the Sig p365 with a safety, and that safety doesn't pinch me. That may be the reason Sig discontinued it.
Glock > Sig and more reliable and have less problems. Sig is the one who needs to up their game.
Both please 🙏ty
Yes you CAN have the same grip regardless of the handgun size, make or model. But for that you have to get rid of this stupid trendy grip (that everyone and their mother are using nowadays), and have a solid grip. My 2 cents. Great comparison and video though.
I have the P 238 and really want the P938. Fantastic firearms. just pricey.
Which variant do you have? What do you think about the fde scorpion version
The Legion. Like the color more than any others.
@@fpav4049 same. Since my last comment I ordered the fde scorpion just because it’s the only thing new I can find under 650$
@@dabol4423 I think Sig sells way to much on most things.
@@fpav4049 this is my only Sig and my last lol. Too pricey for me. Although, If I ever would get one it would be the canebreak 😂
Imagine this as a double action, double stack. Sig couldn't keep them in stock.
Would not be as compact....
Look at an H&K P30SK. Little bigger than this but holds 12.
No mention of ambi-safety. Original 238s were right handed only. Do you like/dislike?
Why would you go this whole video without holding them side by side to show the width and length difference?
really should do Colt Mustang vs Sig P238...just sayin
respected? P320 being replaced at the Milwaukee police department for accidental discharges.
The 365 took 3 iterations before the striker problem was solved.
Respected.... by a thread.
I shot it better then the Glock 19 gen 4 as a first time shooter. If this guy is saying it’s snappy he’s a wimp lmao .
I have had one failure to eject so far maybe 100 rounds through it so far
Which model 238 do you have?
Legion 938
@@yamahschector oh ok
Wow... 238???... 😊
Average self defense shooting is 1.5 rounds fired.
That 938 is the size of a 380 so why wouldn't a person just get the 9mm? This is the gun I love but don't carry.
Because its not the same size.
Sure wish I could find that p238🤣🤦♂️
Whenever I hear "smash that like button" I smash don't recommend channel. We all understand youtube, we get how this works, don't tell me what to do.
I never think about the like button to be fair
Just don’t drop it.
Don’t jinx me lol
Will dropping it really cause an accidental discharge?? 😅😅😅
@@Mrdanielmesa no lol, it has a hammer block that doesn't move unless trigger is pulled
