So today another exploration in mixed media art that incorporates aluminum foil and modeling paste. It is a unique and interesting way to create textured and layered works. The aluminum foil adds a sense of movement to the piece, while the modeling paste can be used to create raised, sculptural elements. This technique can be used to create a wide range of artworks, from abstract compositions to more representational pieces. The use of these materials can add depth and dimension to a piece and can be combined with other mediums such as paint, collage and more.

I'm so glad Diane .... I think I shared this in another comment .... I had a hater who basically left a comment telling me she didn't care for my personality and that I apparently had no idea what I was doing and that she was going to unsubscribe and maybe one day when I got my shit together she might start watching me again. At the moment, it stung and now I can't help but laugh ... I can't change who I am and any artist would say .... its all about the journey into creativity and learning not always the end result and not every piece is going to be a masterpiece. Wanted to say I've not painted for 4 months as been very low but this has really inspired me! It's so therapeutic watching the process as you build the layers. So thank you. 🙂
I'm sorry. I've been living with both shoulders frozen in the past 3 years, first one, then the other. My painting is limited to swipes, open cups, Dutch pours. Tilting is difficult for extended periods.
Alison, I find now that I started embellishing and doing texture work as opposed to pouring it has really lifted my mood. I find I can get lost for hours layering and painting and I forget the world, its really therapeutic for me. Also with pouring I would struggle with colour palettes sometimes because I had to know ahead of time what I wanted to use and then after hours of mixing, putting it on the canvas and hating it, scrapping the canvas and starting again was not very appealing and then when I finally got something I loved, I would be constantly checking to see how it was drying. I will pour again at some point, but it was so frustrating sometimes! And lets not talk about how much paint I would go through! OMG

Oddly enough neither am I when it comes to clothes etc, but I do like it when making art .... sometimes ..... as I love the depth of colour and the statement it makes.

Hi Tiffiany, your painting was a fun journey into the layers and shapes with different mediums. The layering of several colors to achieve the final reds was interesting. The saturation of the reds is awesome as it draws the eye to rest and just soak in that color. Wow! Liked how you created the lower painting giving it surprise and folly. It's a cool painting. I'll probably dream that red tonight as I keep going back to just sit within that glorious RED. Thank you for sharing your creation.❤😍
I loved the depth of colour I was able to achieve with the red too Lucy. Tbh when I did the first layer on foil, I had a little panic attack because it was sort of pink, which made sense since it was over such a light background, but I couldn't think logically at that moment. I just hoped as I kept layering I would get there eventually!

I’ve been thinking about this piece for 13 days. I can’t tell you the last time that’s happened. I’m really inspired to try this. I’ve never attempted anything like this before, but the result is breathtaking. 🐻
13 days is really long ⌛️. The only way you're ever going to know is just to give it a go (I even made a rhyme 😉🙄) honestly though it's really easy and you can't really mess it up, no worries about paint consistencies, cracking, etc. Let me know if you try it!
