Correction, uryu doesn't just reverse damage, he can reverse any event between two designated points, that is why hashwald said uryu's power was a threat to yhwach because he can even reflect the effects the almighty

@johngona5929 why would it be lost? The ability of Yhwach giving people out schrifts is by doing a ritual in letting them drink his blood, and bestowing upon them a Schrift/Letter which "Awakens the power dormant in someone"
So Yhwach is just giving them a "name/Schrift/Letter" and awakening their powers which they already posses inside of them dormant.
Basically he can see and name/which awakens power people already possess

he doesn't actually betray him he was actually taking advantage of the quincy sternritters and yhwach into believing he's one of them when ishida encounters jugram he actually fights him and reveals his schrift "the Antithesis" which allows him to reverse situations between two designated targets. He can even use it to reverse injuries and heal himself in the process. and eventually killing juggy, in the final fight uryu sneaks on yhwach and shoots him with ryuken's quincy arrow to kill him and stop the madness and the chaos the quiggers caused in the seireitei
Despite being the some of strongest Quincies in the series, both Ichigo and Uryu never achieved Vollstandwiech. And knowing that Sternritters are peak quincies, Has Walhein and Uryu final battle should have gone with both using their versions of Vollstandwiech. I wonder if we can see it just for a second in the Anime if it ever crossed their mind.

Ichigo never had Quincy training in the first place and Uryu doesn't know because he also didn't have proper training other than as a kid by Soken. He basically learned by himself and he didnt know all the secrets of Quincys

Why the hell would Ichigo need that lesser form of a bankai? My theory behind this is that his true zanpakto had his shinigami powers in the longer blade and his Quincy power in the shorter blade
Vollstandig is an evolved version of the "final form" that Ishida used against Kurotsuchi in the soul society arc.
Just imagine if Aizen uses Bankai in the later part of tybw against Yhwach, since Kubo is working with the production team and adding things into the anime that are not in the manga. The internet would lose their minds Imao

No, of course not. His sword is basically an anti-hax weapon that can kill virtually any enemy in the verse, but it still needs to hit an enemy. He'd just flat out fail to kill an enemy like the 8th Kenpachi, who can get rid of his physical body.

I really wonder sometimes if kobu made muegstu a hybird of quincy and shingami, because the last style that Uryu used is very similar to mugestu. If you don't think so here is my proof why I believe that, Mugestu made Ichigo lose all his powers when fighting Aizen, No other Shingami ever did that, it's a short insane power buff that makes the user burn their power out in one attack. Lastly it looks so simliar to last style, as Ichigo mugestu, the only difference between both of them is Ichigo wasn't make his surroundings break down in reistu, but he was in earth, far way from anything that contains reistu, lastly I believe Ichigo has enough reistu to not need any other reistu.
Well actual if you remember the only reason he learned final Getsuga Tenshou (Mugetsu) is because Isshin (his father) told him the technique in the Dangai and got him to learn it. Isshin also said that he knew of the final getsuga tenshou as well but Engetsu wouldn't teach him it.. hence it wasn't anything to do with Ichigo's quincy powers per se. Because Isshin is just a Shingami and he would also lose his powers if he ever used Final Getsuga Tenshou as well. It's the reason why he said that their zanpaktos wouldn't willing teach them the technique.

In fact, Quilge Opie has more powerful arrows in his base form. Before the power up, Ishida was a bottom of the barrel Quincy. His lone impressive feat was defeating Mayuri and it took the ultimate sacrifice.
The point is, before he drank the blood, he was nothing, but his shrift is very special.

Uryu isn't ichigo's brother, uryu is actualy distant cousin of ichigo's through misaki. Uryu and ichigo are both gemischt quincies or halfblood quincies. Ichigo's mother , uryu's father and grandmother are echt quincies or pureblood quincies. Ichigo's sisters Karin and Iyuzu are also gemisht quincies technicaly however only karin's spiritual awareness manifested. Iyuzu's spiritual awareness may or may not manifest.

I'm assuming Uryu is the only halfblood Quincy to have a latent ability(other than Ichigo). However, this ability was not awoken till he drank Ywach's blood, meaning it was dormant all throughout the series. How did it protect him from Auswahlen then?
Yhwach has never chosen them.
He just chose uryu, he needed Ichigo's powers to evolve then he could steal it later .

Uryu is not the only Quincy in history to have survived auswahlen but he is the only Quincy in history to have survived auswahlen without losing his powers. When auswahlen touches a half-blood, either the latter dies, or he will lose his powers, in any case, he will not come out unscathed, which is not the case for uryu. auswahlen does absolutely nothing to him.
