I miss them. The only time I saw them live. Was in 1986 the same year John Schlitt joined Petra. I have only been able to see them in CZcams videos', since then.

John looks and sounds outstanding. Certainly out performs most all if not all his “metal god” peers out there. Met him last month he was so nice to be willing to take a photo with my son and I. Love Petra. Seriously considering working their Arlington show into my schedule.😊

I was there... My first Petra concert! Never thought I would have that opportunity!
My first Petra concert was in 1985. It's awesome that the band is still rocking nearly 40 years later!
They are literally covering most all of the songs i loved.

Interesting story about this show. This show was the night before the show I attended in Ocean City NJ. That is some distance between shows.

O problema é o público não vir pois são muito devagar para as coisas.
Vieram em1995 no Ibirapuera e o público não veio.
Era para lotar aquele lugar.

This is funny. I thought the guys have retired. Not sure from this clip if that is the case. I have followed them since 1982...
They did retire in 2005 but it was 50 years ago this year the band formed in Indiana ( my home state). They are doing limited concerts in 2023.
Wow John's voice is holding up amazing all these years. Let's compare that with Sebastian Bach or Vince Neil ....
John schlitt has no equal TBH..Pure God gifted
John is honest with himself. He knows his limitations and had the band to tune down to help with high notes. 73 and still doing 1.5 hour sets is impressive.

As much as i love those guys, they should now when to retire.
I have great memories from them, love this band so much.
Actually they “retired” in 2003. They only do one off shows or tours these days. And if you compare them to say Guns and Roses, who still tour, and whose singer doesn’t have a voice anymore, they are doing ok.
