This week we headed to Wales to scope out some hidden wild swimming spots up Snowdon, taking Watkin path.

BACKGROUND STORY
We are steps2adventure, better known as Jordan & Annalise. We created the steps2adventure brand to inspire people to explore what the outdoors has to offer. Back in 2019 we always knew we wanted to travel, we were planning backpacking trips, train journeys.. you name it. Thankfully we came across the van life CZcamsrs! As soon as we saw this way of life we knew this was it, this is how we want to live and travel. So, we bought a van… Not just any van, she’s a 2007 LWB Mercedes sprinter van, an absolute beast!! We have spent over 2 years converting her in-between work and some little adventures across the UK.

Do you guys use an app or something to pick where you want to park up fpr the night? xxx
We sometimes use Park4night but usually just go on Google maps and see if we can see any hidden spots xx
No overnight parking and blocked lay-bys is probably down to certain people in vans who have left mess and over stayed etc....Unfortunately its the minority who always spoil it, the trouble is that if people find a really good little park up and tell other van lifers or post it on FB etc it will soon become an issue and trashed etc, then the councils will stop us parking there...Its a sad state of affairs really..Oh and not forgetting certain you-tubers (not you) parking and making videos in places where its CLEARLY signed saying NO PARKING like its a game...then people will follow like sheep etc and spoil it and the next thing you know there are hight barriers or boulders in the way to stop us parking in the daytime...
I understand what you mean but I think the people in the country should take a French approach and rip all the signs and pay and display machines off the council take our taxs along with the government and don't put bins in places they need to even Delamere forest now have taken there poo bins out and there asking peoe the pick stick and flick yet we still pay our taxs it's a joke what we have found this week is that it's the majority of people in cars that are leaving rubbish and it's people like us having to clear up after them
@@Steps2adventure Yes I agree we should have Aires in this country like they do in France, I spend a lot of time in France in my van and I absolutely love it but the problem is if we had such places in this country then people take the piss and proper overstay they’re welcome and that’s probably they would never appear in this country on the scale what they do in France, there are a few in Scotland that are locally run and some have honesty box which is fine and I’ve parked on a few of them I’ve put my £5 or £10 in some cases in there because of the bins and water also seen people take advantage of the shares and not leave a penny, yes iv seen cars leave mess but it’s MH and vans like our that will get the blame and lose out…yes we do pay our taxes but remember the Aires in France are locally funded & run so their government don’t help and instead they hope you shop in the local area, many are free but some do charge a small amount to help with the up keep of the Aire, last year I was parked in the parking area in the Lake District and the car chucked rubbish out of its car window and when I ask them to pick it up they told me no uncertain terms to go away they would smash my face in so I said hang on while I finish my tea and then I’ll get out of my van but they left before I finished my tea LOL… love the videos too 👍🏻👍🏻
@@thenoworriesnomad definitely personally we are just waiting till September then we will be out the country we are going to start spending most our time in Spain and Portugal because it's just got a joke in this country parkups are free water is free and they welcome you so we will start taking our money out rather than leaving it in its only going to get worse
