- Vladimir Putin has warned NATO countries they risk nuclear war if they send troops to Ukraine. The Russian leader has been delivering his annual state of the nation address two weeks ahead a presidential election that he's expected to win. Little-to-no opposition stands in his way. Putin told Russians in his speech that he'd be stationing more soldiers in Russia's West, close to new NATO members Finland and Sweden.
Putin's nuclear warning came after France's president refused to rule out the possibility of Western nations sending troops to Ukraine. This was later rejected by the US and Germany.

It seems that you should use your logic in your own case first. It's France, a NATO nation that's talking about deploying it's troops in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation. France is a nuclear power too and it's meddling in issues of other countries which are none of it's business. NATO is a defense organization, nothing more. Russia has over a thousand nukes pointed at all major NATO nations as well ever since the Soviet era. That's why NATO hasn't got involved directly. He's more sound than the current US president. He's not bluffing, he's showing NATO it's limit. @@picadosinferno
Even if NATO countries sent hundreds of thousands of soldiers to Ukraine, it would not change anything, because Russia would simply send more of its soldiers and equipment to the front, since it does not use even 20%

In fact that worked very well and NATO did not really send any advanced weapon. Even the tanks they sent they modified them so that in case Russia captures them, they wouldn't be able to find the advanced tech :).

Putin didn't threaten nuclear war, he only said the continuous escalation of war by the west can result in a nuclear war.
The people under the control of the West governments should at least know two facts: 1. U.S. is the only country which ever used nuclear weapons, although the historical facts revealed that the use of nuclear weapons at the end of WWII was completely unnecessary. 2. The NATO attack on Yugoslavia in the 90s was completely unprovoked and unauthorized by UN resolution, and the NATO expansion to the East, starting in the 90s, was completely unnecessary and unjustified.

And our governments claim he will just move on after he's done in Ukraine. So when he attacks for example Poland... will we just sit and watch, again? I get that the threats are dangerous and we have no obligation to save Ukraine, however should he then be able to do whatever he wants just because he brings out the nuke card? I know Putin have said he don't wish to go further then Ukraine, but our side sure send mixed messages... Especially to Ukraine who get promises that "we got your back" while we at the same time talk as if Ukrainians can be sacrificed to weaken Russia, but also that if Ukraine falls Putin will just go somewhere else.
