In my opinion I always thought the 2nd gen taco looked better than the 3rd gen taco coming from a gen 3 owner sick ride man.

Awesome lookin truck, I have a black 2012 TRD sport 4x4 double cab in manual with some tasteful mods including the alpharex luxx headlights currently the DRL are the standard blue that comes with, but wanting to switch them to Amber, looks really good with the black of the truck, and he was the reason I bought auto up and down for all windows, never thought I'd need them, but once I installed them I fell in love with the switches. 😎
I switched the DRL to amber over the weekend , LOVE IT WAY MORE THAN THE WHITE/BLUE !!!

I bought a 2nd gen and just blew the head gasket under a year 😂 just starting a build. I like those lights and head unit. That thing would be legit for maps

@smzman2013 yeah just bought a reman engine from Jasper engines. Check them out, they've been open since the 40s*. I just put out a video showing their reman process.

I’ve got a 2013 identical to yours but mine is white and I blacked out all emblems also met black TRD Sport decals on back love it I have 51000 on her I have few Harleys so I’m able to keep the mileage down lol

No part from 2nd or 3rd gen will integrate with a 4th gen
The second gen is often second class to the third gen but if done right, ❤ those great 2nd generation Tacos. They really do have some advantages. This one is a beauty. Love it!

So why is the 2015 second gen better than the new gens? Looking to buy a taco. The 2015 seems pretty dank
Overall the power train was the best one out of all the gens, which is why people love it so much
While the 2012-15 only have a 5speed, they have a 4.0 V6 whereas the 2016-2023 Tacomas have a 3.5 with a 6speed, which is still powerful but doesn't carry all that low-end torque that the 4.0 does. Yes 2016-23 Tacomas have all the nicer interior but I can tell you from owning a 2014 that the 4.0 is so quick in the low range that it feels like I'm in a V8. 😈😈😈
