95% of American consumers will never ever accomplish an 1/8 of these repairs before selling or trading in their ride, a fantastic vid.
Thank you! We care about our trucks here 🍻
True. I ordered one new off allocation last April. I had it for 6 days after waiting seven weeks for it.
Loaded with problems
I’ll accomplish them all !!!
True that and the Tacoma will still give you 300K plus miles!
Absolute best videos for third gen Tacomas. Do not stop making these please. I hope you get rich from it you deserve it.
It's humble side hustle fun for me but thank you! Love to hear the support 🍻
I second that! By far the best videos out there. Simple, concise, and helpful. I too hope you get some kickback in someway. Cheers!@@teamoildrop
Preeeech
@teamoildrop have you made one for 2nd Gen Tacomas? JW
@@lenixonadames1488 hey brother, I haven’t. Unfortunately it’s not in my near future as the 2nd gens have so much material on them already.
I don’t even own a Tacoma but I support what you’re doing. Snap on sponsor this man!
❤️ 🍻
You won me over when you said save money for ammo. Subbed.
Welcome to the team 🍻 🔫
After seeing the 2024 tacoma's gonna need my '22 to last forever no joke. Thank you for the video! My '07 Tacoma prerunner still running strong at 200k miles.
May our Tacomas never die. Thanks for the words! Welcome to the team; Enjoy the channel 🍻
Same boat - I saw the pricing on the new TRD Off Road and died a little on the inside. I paid 12K less for my 2020 off road.
It's not only the price. The 2024's are 4 cylinder turbocharged garbage. Zero benefit and hundreds of downsides.
The body looks bad, and is really tall but with less clearance, just like the new Rangers.
The interior looks like everything was pooped out of a 3d printer, and you have a massive ipad looking thing as a stereo that actually blocks your view it's so big. @zudosmg
Lol almost any car from the major brands, acura, mazda, honda, nissan will be able to hit 200k miles easily. Not even noteworthy.
lol, sure buddy@@rfcdgaf
I installed an oil catch can and it was probably the best preventative maintenance measure I've ever done.
It certainly is amazing what they collect.
I will be interested to see what they collect on the 4th Gen Tacoma

Coming up on 100,000 miles on my Tacoma with 0 issues so far...Just spent $336 on a bunch of parts you have listed to do myself at home. Dealership quoted me over $1,700. You're a lifesaver! Amazing videos as always. And excited to see that bumper 😉
Hey brother! Can’t wait to show these guys too. If you ever have any questions our discord is usually fast as heck at answering them.
And also just shy of 100k no issues. 99,800 😎
I think I'm going to spend my memorial day doing those expensive maintenence parts I skipped at the mechanic. Awesome
With a nice cold drink no doubt 🍻
Love the Halo elite sounds! Wort wort wort. Thank you I’ve been using your videos for my 2020 Tacoma and running smoothly!
I was wondering when someone would notice that haha 🍻 love to hear it keep that truck running strong!
You are the GOAT my dude. I just passed 80k on my 2020 and ive followed your videos for all the maintinence so far.
Your support is great, you have bestowed goat comment, Tacoma endures - a haiku
Dang 2020 and over 80K already?
Putting the Combat Evolved Elite sounds in the video is insane and I love it
I love when ppl catch that. Every now and then I get random complaint like “WHAT ARE THOSE DUMB NOISES!?”
LoL Grunts & Elites love Tacos.
The absolute BEST CHANNEL for Tacoma Maintenance!!!
Much appreciated

Ran into ya today by chance, and I’m happy I did! Bought my first taco this year and I fully intend on tackling regular maintenance to keep him running until the wheels fall off. Thank you for extending this resource to me!
Welcome to channel fellow Colorado Springs native 😌 Nice truck! Always loved a good looking access cab 🍻
Always on the lookout for your videos man. These are the best videos for Tacoma maintenance. Your format makes sense, straight to the point. Whats required, what’s recommended. Torque specs always included in the videos. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you brother! Love to hear it. A short list of what I owe us when I get back to the states is brake fluid and I believe I may have a minor power steering leak, or at least some dampness from it 👀
@@teamoildrop you know ill be here to watch and I’ll be doing my serpentine next thanks to this one.
Well said. TOD is the best.
Awesome video! Keep them coming! Used your transmission service and spark plug video this past week, both made my life so much easier
My absolute favorite thing to hear “made it easier/saved money” 🍻 happy maintaining!
All this channels vids are clear, concise and enjoyable to watch!
🍻 thank you!
I’ve tackled a few jobs with the help of your videos and they are such a great help. Top notch!!
my pleasure! thank you!
You have the best how to, Tacoma maintenance videos hands down. So simple and clearly explain that an amateur like myself in maintenance have done just about all my own maintenance.
Thank you! Glad I could be a help.
Just found your channel and subscribed to it. I just bought out my 21 lease. As a former mechanic maintenance is the key. Thanks for creating this video
My pleasure brother! Welcome aboard! 🍻
Thank you for your service, brother! Your videos are super helpful...especially since I have the exact same truck. Keep up the great content.
Is it really? Another beautiful TRD Sport longbed? My pleasure! 🍻
Love these videos. Makes doing the maintenance on my truck worth doing myself.
For the trans, I drained and refilled (running through drive and reverse multiple times between each) x3. On the third time is when the fluid came out nice and fresh looking.
Best videos ever. Should have millions of subs.
2020 Tacoma Off-road here. This video is outstanding! Thank you for taking the time. Looking forward to seeing more.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Just watched this out of boredom but for anyone else like me, pretty much every part of this maintenance applies to every vehicle(except EV's lol). Obviously the actual work may not be the exact same process, but even that's 99% the same deal. Nice guide.
Thanks brother 🍻
True. Would be nice to have this for a 2nd gen Tacoma. But like you said, 99% is going to be pretty much the same.
@@teamoildrop Would be nice to have this for a 2nd gen Tacoma. But like the man said. 99% will be pretty much the same. BTW. Those maps really are nice.
Thanky! Great tips! Tip: the A/C drain hose--replace with LONGER heater hose to dump condensed water on ground--it gets all that water OFF the frame which causes much rust.
man i just found your channel today and it's one of the best channels for diy stuff i've seen. i have a 2017 TRD OR. your vids will help me in the future with maintenance. short to the point without any fluff or rambling! keep doing your thing big dawg! thanks for these videos.
Wow, thanks!

Thanks Lamar!
Fantastic video. Concise, informative, and well organized. Thank you!
Thanks for the words! 🍻
If i do any maintenance on my Tacoma i always refer to one of your videos. Thank you for making these!
My pleasure love to hear it! 🍻
Great list! given you're in Colorado undercoating is also key for most tacos in areas with snow. If you're interested we would be happy to supply some product for a review and to help keep the truck on the road longer.
I’ve been meaning to reach out to you actually! Moving to upstate NY soon and will be coating my vehicles with FF. That’s my 2024 taco (new to channel), my 2016 (featured here), and my wife’s CRV. I would love to cover your product in detail as I’m not new to it and feel it’s a real truck saver. I can be reached at teamoildrop at gmail and we can work something out!
Dude. . . Subbed and wish there was a like button that allowed 100000 likes . Great video. Straight to the point. No 30 minute of talking that is a waste of time. Breath of fresh air to watch it
That’s my FAVORITE praise for this video… no wasted time. Thanks brother and welcome to the team!
Again your videos are the best I have seen. My son has the 2019 v6 Tacoma. We have been using these as references for the 100k miles service. I have the 2008 5.7 tundra and can’t wait for that series to be published. As I am approaching 100k miles on my tundra. Thankyou for these excellent tutorials
Thanks brother 😌 love to hear it 🍻
I just recently bought my fist Tacoma. It’s a 2021 SR Double Cab. I’m very pleased with it. I have lots of upgrades id like to add.
2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 4.0 engine double cab long bed 3 inch lift with 315,144 miles. Maintenance keeps em going! Awesome using your coolant & transmission fluid videos. Simple, to the point and way better that others I have been accessing. Always done this stuff, except for brakes, however, you make it easy.
Thank you for the kind words

I wish the best of blessings for you and this channel this is my go to maintainance video guide. I change my trans fluid, oil, differential fuild , and spark plug with all the help from your videos happy 2024 to you n your family
Blessings and happy new years to you and yours as well! Thanks for the words 🍻
Extremely useful video. I purchased a 2023 Tacoma to avoid the issues and gremlins of the new redesign. These maintenance tips are vital to keeping not just the Tacoma but any vehicle running for a long time. Surprised I have not run across this channel before. Subbed.

Hello! Thanks for sharing. This is very cool. My dad has a Tacoma and I can see taking on some projects with him due to the help of your videos. Good channel, solid content, thank you for sharing!
That’s one of my fav compliments is that it’s going bring family/friends together. Love it!
Your ATF video gave me the confidence to do it myself instead of paying $250.
Thank you!
Honestly my favorite thing to hear when someone successfully knocks out their own DIY and saves money! Cheers 🍻
Just got a 3rd gen with 60k miles i just did the oil change and was trying to read in the manual for the trans fluid change interval what mileage did you do yours at
@@nickdevecchio6316 most of us start draining and fills between 60 and 100k
As a mechanic I always encourage people to learn to do what they can on their vehicle. There will be no shortage of people willing to pay me for my skill but being self reliant is always a good thing
not jsut paying $250, but 50/50 or higher chance of them screwing it up in some way, likely damaging your truck. You have to do everything yourself now a days
Thank You! I wish that I had found your videos sooner. Replacing the serpentine belt was a pain because my ratchet had too much travel before it clicked. I just ordered my third Taco. I had Gen 2 and Gen 3. I'll be following,
Welcome to the team!
never done shit for my vehicle on my own excepts fill it up with gas and drive it. got a tacoma once i joined the army last year and i wanna get a few tools and start following your videos and knocking some of this shit out on my own. super good breakdown of everything you could need. will definitely be revisiting your channel once i get the tools i need to change it. haven't looked yet but my '21 tacoma trd pro is at 25k miles. haven't had any issues with the brakes but i will check them and maybe switch them out while watching your video.
Love to hear it! Where you stationed? I’ll be making us a tools needed video in the not so distant future as well.
Luv this video bro it helps me alot to do all my maintenance in my Tacoma
Love to hear it! 🍻 happy maintaining
A nice summary video! I have 70K on my 2018 and have done all the ones in the video, except for the brakes. I have new rotors and pads, but still have life on my current brakes. Hope the little one is doing well,
Donald, the kid is too cute. He had a random 2 week bout of covid, followed by RSV, followed by a double ear infection, but was smiling through all of it. Since then he's been 100%. Lana is doing agreaty job with him while I've been out of country. Thanks for the words! 🍻
Feeling like my learning journey has come a long way and starting to pay off. I am happy to see much of what I learned (in all separate videos) and need to do regarding maintenance could be summed up all in one video. Thanks for it! Extremely helpful for newb DIYers. Feels good to work and take care of our trucks - adds a lot of confidence to the longevity.
I don't have a Tacoma and but everything applies. I have two 2006 4th gen 4runners. I know a handful of parts are interchangeable too for some Tacoma years. My V6's got 337k miles and V8's got 184k. Both going strong!
You have two EXCELLENT 4Runners with incredible engines… that 4.7…. As you know… bulletproof! Thanks for the words brother. Doing a video series on tools now.

You’re welcome! And yes, they most definitely can and will do that. Look up Enduro Cox on CZcams and see his 300k plus 3rd gen Tacoma that’s been used HARD all its life
I appreciate your hard work. I have your service log from Tacomaworld and used that to get my 30k service. Crazy how easy it was. Im ready to try my hand at the big 60k service when that comes up.
Thank you! Don't let the spark plugs intimidate, they arent all that abnd as long as you go in with the correct tools. Definitely have a small 12" step on the side to be able lean over into the engine bay better. Good luck! 🍻

One item to add….if you live where they salt the roads, get an annual or every other year rust proofing oil based spray. A well maintained mechanical system won’t help if the body/frame rots away. Obviously this is mainly for those who want to keep their vehicles longer than 10 years
For sure for sure! I plan to make a video in the near future on options
I’m moving to upstate New York so kindve need to!

I think it’s time for a series on Tundras. PLEASE!!!😂 That is a great video
I hear you loud and clear 😔 A day may come when time permits…
How much of this is relevant to tundras?
Do not do 10,000mi on oil change. Do 5000. 10,000 is way to many miles for something that only costs $80. 10,000 interval will cause your engine to start to burn oil as the oil ring gets clogged with sludge in addition to other wear
Si si, 5k is definitely reccomended. Quality oil at 10k is safe... but who does that?? The real scary stuff is the syn oil you can buy now that says "GOOD FOR 20K MILES".... NO
Yup … I use full syn and change mine around 4500 … 180k miles on 2011 Elantra with regular port injection … no leaks and doesn’t burn a drop oil
Yup … I use full syn and change mine around 4500 … 180k miles on 2011 Elantra with regular port injection … no leaks and doesn’t burn a drop oil
What a great video! I wish you could do one for 2/2.5 Tundras. But Tacos aren't that much different.
Some maintenance items I do that I didn't see on the list: greasing suspension components (joints, UCAs, etc), check torque specs for suspension components (if you offroad), replace PCV Valves, brake fluid flush, fuel injection cleaning (if you don't drive on the highway often), and MAF/throttle body cleaning.
Thanks for the words! This may surprise you but quite a few of those are in the near to-do list. I just gotta get back from the other side of the planet where it’s 7am right now and having breakfast 😂

Nice to see well thought out, clear explanation of the 5 W's for each task - you set the standard for how maintenance videos should be made. The fact that you're local is even better (I'm over by the new fire station off MR). I've had a 16 and currently have a 17 TRD-OR 6ft w topper, with a few Colorado kisses (hail dents and trail damage) that share garage space with the 98 TJ, a Subie, and a few other makes. Engine replacement on a CR-V with my daughter is the next fun (not!) in the hopper - no really good videos for the 4th gen of these, unfortunately.
Ah a Springs local! Love to hear it. Unfortunatley my job will be sending me elsewhere in the near future. This time we are getting a 3 car garage haha. I've got one very obvious colorado kiss on my hood. I tried pulling it and ended up turning the dent from concave to convex.... now ive got one small lump 🤣 Good luck with the CR-V. I have always thought it was Honda's best vehicle. The wife is in the current gen and we love it. Thank you for the words and take care! 🍻
Hope you have one of the "funner" locations lined up, and not just the usual or god forbid Polk or any of the locations in Georgia! The Honda has been a great vehicle, but the dealer dorked the timing chain when the VTEC actuator was replaced for the rattle. The pistons and the valves played bongo for a moment or two when the chain let go. @@teamoildrop
