    You dont need uca if you're under 2" lift.
    Put 886 fog light bulbs in the reverse lights, you'll seea bit better, even better with chrome housing
    Your factory halogen housing headlights are far superior than alpha rex especially in the winter. Morimoto retrofit is a better option but stock headlights with a halogen bulb, youll see better in winter, that's what i noticed with mine.

    Your truck looks awesome, I too have a black 2012 TRD sport but in manual transmission and 4x4, also in the process of blacking out, my mods are the following : I have both taillights and headlights from Alpharex the luxx versions both alpha black, and also have the mirror turn signals in black and they are sequentials that pair up perfectly with the sequentials on the headlights. Third brake light in black, Raptor grill with raptor lights with black "toyota" lettering , superior suspension front recovery mounts with shackles, sprint booster, S&b cold air intake, Uni secondary air filter. Wet okole seat covers, I'm keeping the tacoma door badges on but will plastidip them red, the bed decals will be removed, the tailgate badges removed, and will add a 4x4 badge in red where the v6 badge used to be. Eventually will be getting windows tinted and bigger tires with lift and fog lights, the list goes on 🤣

    so with the ball joints it probably has more to do the suspension angle than the quality of the ball joint. So yeah the stock ball joints in stock configuration will last 120k or more, but change the suspension angle add more pressure to them via larger tire and wheels and lift them via shocks only and they're probably going to fail in 40k or less. You should look into changing your lower control arm and a steering solution such as a track bar , drag link or pitman arm. the lca should help with the suspension angle and the steering components will hep with the binding and bump steer induced by lifting the truck.

    • @AlbertoXP35
      @AlbertoXP35 Před 10 měsíci

      Thank you. The lift will make ball joints and links wear out prematurely does not matter if you use Toyota parts. Only real fix is a UPC that matches the lift and is not just a better version of the original one

    Hey dude love the tour of your ride. New sub and look forward to see what else you do. My taco is same generation and felt you pain about the gray paneling. Get Duplicolor vinyl and fabric in Matt black. It's easy to apply and keep coats even. Drys fairly quickly and most importantly doesn't flake or chip off. I did mine over a year ago and only spot were you can see the original grey is a spot where a passenger swung his feet to quickly and l slammed one of the metal hook eyelets on the top area of their work boots. Beyond that I used the same stuff to also paint the roof liner and my seats. On fabric it'll feel slightly crusty when it dried but then just take an upholstery cleaning soft bristle brush and just give it a light brushing making passes alternating in all 4 directions.

    Nice video and nice work! I love those wheels and will definitely look into them. I am so jealous of that hood. I have a 2017 TRD Off Road. Why on this earth do they not put the scooped hood on the Off Road???? I will definitely be swapping that out.

    • @logankrastel9609
      @logankrastel9609 Před 6 měsíci +1

      If you do pay a little extra for an actual aftermarket one so the scoop is actually functional and will ram air into the CAI. The scoop in the oem hoods are fake.

    Niceeee!! What’s your wheel offset ?

    • @logankrastel9609
      @logankrastel9609 Před 6 měsíci

      Not op but he's rocking 33s on a 2.5" front lift and no cab mount chop like I do and in order for it not to rub you'll need rims with 4.5" or less backspacing. So obviously offset will vary depending on how wide the rim is but as long as the negative offset is enough to get you to 4.5" or less back space then you're golden.

      0 offset on these

    • @logankrastel9609
      @logankrastel9609 Před 6 měsíci

      I know op told you 0 offset but you should know how much offset required depends on how wide the rim is so, if you don't want tires to rub, it's easier to choose correct rims if you look at their backspacing instead of offset. And they need 4.5" or less backspacing to not rub.

    I just bought a 2018 TRD 4 door Sport I really wanted the hood scoop and the guy who on my truck I got it from the Toyota dealership there is two that I was looking at and when I went up to the dealership and the guy who owned it he had a 3 inch lift kit on the truck and new tires 265 /70 R17 and when you open the doors he has the factory the strips right there on the front and back doors it’s a Toyota so I guess he got the factory ones they look really good plus this guy this truck was immaculate friend of mine he has the same truck as you and he has a 2021 laminate forerunner all blacked out that thing is really nice I really wanted to grab with her, I just wanted to get one with the six cylinder motor because I hear a lot of people are not happy with the new engines and I was happy to find something that was real nice that was used so my payments not crazy high I am looking at your truck with all the mods I can’t wait to get everything oh yeah I had a bed cover to
