Fairplay I got this guy completely wrong after the first one. He's actually a sound guy and was a very good guest.
I think it was just the first 10 minutes of the last one was the only real problem. On the Pub Quiz they said how they had to re-record the introduction because of a problem with the camera or something - which would explain why it seemed like he was trying too hard.
I enjoyed both episodes in the end, despite not being supposed to like him because of the team I support...

this is class, he’s a legend. Thought he was gonna be a bellend after first 5/10 minutes of part 1 and saw a lot of comments saying the same things but he’s a legend. Stuff he’s gone through this mental.

I am so glad I listened to the second episode, because the second part is absolute dynamite. I know he didnt want anyone to feel sorry for him but it is gut wrenching to listen to him. I really hope he is at peace with it all now 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻👍🏻
To be fair I thought he was a bit of a tit at the start of part one, but hearing about his struggles sort of explains why he is the way he is and absolutely fair play to the lad. One of the most honest interviews I’ve seen, struggling with stuff personally myself and genuinely understood most of the things he was saying. Great watch and love you guys at UTC, keep them coming. 👏👏👏

This with the first part might be the best episode yet.
Clearly rates himself as a player more than any manager ever did. All these players come on here claiming to be hard done by while telling stories of a complete lack of commitment.
So how committed would you be to someone you fucks you over? Football and sport in general is a ruthless business, and players are nothing more than commodities. If you had been talented enough to turn pro, you might understand better.

Echoing the rest of you here but what a top lad he ended up coming across as after having the same feeling at the start as most.
More importantly, this is the best podcast going, absolutely lap up every episode. I’ve missed having a bit banter with people more than anything with the whole COVID carry on and it’s nice to be able to tune into other people having a laugh together.

Good pod. Ciaran Clark broke Libor Kozaks leg in training in 2014 at Villa just a few months after he had signed. He had same with the metal pin/rod not healing it properly. Never got a chance after, sadly.

As a fan of colchester and being in layer Road when he scored that hat trick met his brother when we played Wycombe just as mad as rowan lol, always wanted to see him do well but wondered why he never quite made it, all clear now shame he went through all that.

Part 2 definetely better than part 1. Seems like a good guy loudmouth but can tell a lot is in best and bantering. Doesn't come across early on but can see after half an hour he's at ease and joking back and forth between the lads. Was a character few and far between now.
