Seattle Center & Space Needle Walking Tour - Including Observation Deck | Seattle, Washington

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest and Washington State's largest city, Seattle. For this walkabout, we're wandering around the parks and tourist attractions of the Seattle Center, which are the ground surrounding the better known Space Needle. Full of museums, food, and a very creative playground it's a place worth stopping whenever you visit. It's easy to get to as well, with a city monorail stopping at the Seattle Center Armor at the heart of the grounds. This monorail connects to the train as well, which in turn, connects to the airport.
We got lucky on this walk as the timing of it was during the Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival. Because of this, the park was packed with good food and live music at every corner, stage, and pavilion. A particular favorite was Kanile'a K Ukulele with their covers of popular songs from yesteryear.
Seattle, Washington is going to be your first port of call (most of the time) should you be taking an Alaskan Cruise, which was the case for use. We spent two days here prior to our trip on Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas (link to our ship tour below). If you're looking to do the same, note that there are two ports in Seattle. One is maybe a 15 minute walk from the Space Needle, while the other is 20'ish minutes by car. However, with all the hills, walking isn't recommended with luggage. For Royal Caribbean, the port was the further of the two, and is about 30-40 minutes from the airport.
