  • This is a domestic flight trip report from Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) to William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston Texas on Southwest Airlines 39 (plane model: Boeing 737-700; N49WN) that departed at 4:19 p.m. US Central Time. It was a full flight (all seats were occupied).
This journey starts in Downtown Dallas and journey my way to Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) on a Dallas Area Rapid Transit Orange Line. Southwest Flight 39 departed at Gate 3. The duration of this flight was 45 minutes from Dallas Love to Houston Hobby. During this short flight, snacks and drinks were served. As well, inflight entertainment (such as movies) were offered through mobile/tablet WiFi connection. The plane landed at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and terminated at Gate 25.
The plane air condition was not working properly. As of result, the interior of the plane was HOT! When the plane was on the air, the temperature cool off.
It was a full flight! I've purchased the "Wanna Getta Way" ticket (one way) for $120.00 plus $30.00 upgrade for Boarding Group A. For more information about this flight, checkout the Flight Aware site for SW Flight 39:

The plate you see on the floor next to the taxi line at 6:40 is a plaque in honor of JFK. The day he was shot in Dallas the presidential plane was standing right over that spot waiting for him. Thought you should know!

Finally had enough of Dallas train-ing? What was your downtown hotel of choice? From your previous posting about the Love Shuttle, it has 2 stops at DAL,would think the 2nd stop would be closer to the ticketing lobby but what do I know? :) That godawful sound onboard at the gate, coupled with the cabin temp being hot AND the full stop taxi to start the 2nd engine leads me to believe you had an INOP APU. Noticed a power reduction as we made that right turn south--happily heard your flight was continuing on to CRP--someplace I've been last Christmas but was unable to fly back to HOU due to that 'meltdown'

I've stayed at the AC Hotel Marriott (1712 Commerce St, 75201). The hotel is pretty decent and modest (as well the price). Yes, the plane was having some issue and resulted around 20 minutes delayed. The cabin was hot as well!
