The amount of reactors and ARMYs that cried because of V is just too much . He's so relatable and he went through a lot , and he's good at making you sense his feelings wether if it's his voice or his lyrics or his songs or his words or his stories or his MVs , even "singularity" MV made some ppl cry 😢 . This song is like comfort place to us , soft vocals with a strong messages and a simple imagery , he really did a good job conveying his feelings through this song , Happy Birthday to our Winter Bear 💜.
At the end, when V turn and go away from the scene it is like: "It is a beautiful memory but it is time to move on"... I lost my grandmother too and when I listen the song I always remember her, it is like a breeze, I listen the song, I remember her and when it's finish I try to move on, but she will be always in my thoughts

I'm sorry for your loss, but Tae has never said it was about his grandmother. He said he was inspired by lines in a film he loves...but I'm sure the song can be connected to any relationship, so its wonderful that you found comfort in it
I think one of the reasons why hits us is his soulful voice (as always) and even if we don't know about who or why he wrote the song, everyone of us can make our own interpretation, that's the cool thing about art, in my case it helped me when I was struggling with myself and last year when I lost my grandpa, so yes this is why I love Winter Bear so much and it'll be one of my favorite songs forever.
Some times it comes out of nowhere... but this song is so beautiful and elicit emotion from us, it's no wonder that this is the song to do that. So sorry for your loss💜

Yep Alex i understand you. My father died in 2020. It is still hard to go through and sometimes it just hits ."Winter Bear" song really hit me like you but also comforted me . Winter bear really helped me go through hard times in past. The song "Tonight" also helped me to pass hard times when i miss my Father badly.

Winter Bear is comfort and warmth
Loss creeps up on you in the little things you do in your daily life. It seems as if everything is normal but then all the memories come and flood your mind and tears pour down hard and you are stuck. In the video, V walking away to the right while still looking back on the left side, is him continuing on in life, living his present and then future while still reminiscing and thinking fondly of what has passed. With time, at some moments, you will look back at the ones you've lost and smile an warm and nostalgic smile instead of crying at their absence. The pain doesn't go away, missing them won't become any less, but acceptance of what has happened will become more tangible.

I have never known an artist who's music brings people to tears as much as V's does. I don't know what it is in his voice and songs that speaks to the soul, but it happens more times than not. A long time ago BTS did a reality show where they travelled to LA and trained with various American artists. One of them was a gospel singer. She praised V famously saying, "people feel something when you sing." Truer words where never spoken. I am incredibly sorry for your loss.
Seeing the world through Taehyung's eyes evokes in me a feeling that it's worth living in this world. This MV makes me want to live the life.

Ah Alex, my condolences on your brother. I have not seen this video and as you say, you never know when those feelings of loss will hit. I lost my dad 23 years ago and it always hits me at unexpected times. Plus my mom is 87, so the fear of loss of her is always there.

Please stay strong, although I've never lost someone close, this song still kinda reminds me of my own grandparents. Fortunately for me, all 4 of them are alive. But recently, my maternal grandfather was talking about how he is old now and although he is healthy now, he doesn't know when that will go away. And with him being 84 years old, you can't really have too much hope. Like just a few weeks back, he few down from his state to come to mine so we could spend some quality time together. And now that I have some really busy schedules with school, I felt so bad for not giving all my time to him. But he was very understanding and he was super nice about my exams and everything.
I think my last straw was when he was planning a small get together with all of his kids and grandkids and I was the only one who was going to be absent (because of my exam prep) so he begged my parents to let me come. And he told them that too, that he doesn't know about his health. And this video really made me think of that and the thought of loosing him makes me so sad 😞
