- Today we rebuild the 2016 SSR 110 it actually went really smooth besides the fact that we got a factory defective cylinder. This rebuild procedure is similar to all Chinese pit bikes from 70, 110, 125, and 140cc engines! Hope this was helpful!

Already at work on the build have fun and enjoy your new toy you guys have a good day
you can get a wide zip tie and run it around the piston rings (backwards so it slips in and out freely instead of "zipping") that has been my small engine piston ring compressor for years
Sounds good after that rebuild!
When you rebuild. Is there a chance you do it wrong and it blows up fast, also how much was your kit
Could you possibly tell me where I could find a rebuild kit
Yea my my rubber washers or O-rings that go on the top and bottom of the cylinder are trashed where can i get new ones ?
Good video.. if y'all get a chance do a more detailed video on timing. I felt like there is a lot of loose slack in my valves I don't know of it's timing or just valve clearance issue.
I will definitely try to do that for you
where do i put the dowels because my engine has never been opend before and in some places there are no dowels. is this correct?
Look for the bigger holes. The gasket should have bigger holes as well. I'm trying to remember if there's only 2 I think it's just 2
I have a SSR 70 that is seized. It’s really rusty on the inside and I want to take the head off. How would I realign the timing chain when I put it back on?
Just mark it with something at tdc ok the chain so u can put it back on the same way
MMO ok thanks
I finally got it unseized and I put a mark where I need to mark, and after that I messed up the timing, I’m not sure what to do now
Any tips my piston blew up and cylinder and now the piston pit is stuck sorry for bad english.
Hammer the pin out. If thats the piston pin your talking about
did you put a big bore kit in or just a stock kit in
Stock
You time lapse or totally omit all the important detailed work. Also, i suggest putting the piston inside the cylinder first and then slide the whole unit on with the piston in it.
Have done it both ways, personal preference on the piston install. Yea too much background noise to not time lapse unfortunately. I will redo this video when the next one is rebuilt
Anyone know if I can make a 110 a 140 with bore kit and head? And can u build the heads?
Don't think that will work heads are different and cylinder
Where did you buy the 140cc bore
That's a 110 cc cylinder
I have these spacer looking things came out when i took the barrel and head off what do i do with them?????
Dowels yes need to be put back unless kit came with new.
@@bearkreekboys im currently reusing my barrel and head but i have no clue where to put them now as when i took it off i didnt see them until it was fully off also its a m2r 125 engine if thats any help
I lost mine too is your bike not starting because of that
When rebuilding top end, does the inlet valve need to open when setting the timing?
Valves should be closed. You should be at top dead center compression stroke and have clearance on both valves.
Okay sweet what's the easiest way to find the compression stroke?
Take caps off by valves turn engine over direction that it runs watch intake valve open piston coming down. Then both should close piston comes up and then tdc. If u do it 180° off the exhaust valve will open and close followed by intake. That is not the right stroke.
Okay do cam lobes need to be facing the piston when timing is set at TDC with valves adjusted? Or doesnt really matter. This stuff is confusing lol
@@high_lyfe8546 cam lobes will be downward. clearance on both valves. timing marks all need to line up as well.
Forgot to mark timing. Any advice?
Just make sure to turn the engine over and watch the valves to see if the strokes r correct and line up marks at tdc compression. It should go intake valve open, piston down, piston comes up that's compression. At the top of the stroke is where the marks should line up. Make sure you have valve lash on the rocker arms. Any questions just comment them!
What do you use to edit your vids
Cyberlink powerdirector 15
So all you did was order a 110cc rebuild kit?
I lost my dowel pin id thay why my bike it’s starting
Is there any 160 big bore kits ?
I don't think so for the 125 110 engines
Tbolt USA has stuff like that
Thanks for the reply
Quick question what happened and why were you rebuilding your top end
Just low on compression after riding it hard for the last year
Also burning oil
@@bearkreekboys oh okay got it I'm new at this so I make sure I take it easy on my little dirt bike
What kit did you buy man, after rebuild on top end for my gpx 125cc
eBay kit
I've gotta tao tao db17 I need to rebuild would anyone know the piston size
I'll look and get back to u I thought 54mm but not 100 percent sure
52.4mm? I looked at the last kit I ordered and it said cylinder diameter was that.
Have a link for the rebuild kit?
Yes

Awesome thanks much new sub!
Appreciate it!
Would this kit work for 125 or is that the 54 mm
Do you have to horne out these heads you reckon?
Head no! Cylinder is brand new all honed already
I saw once I got it outside 😂 hey the 107cc head won't fit on my bike its the same cc them little metal rings that go around the stud bolts on both sides of head it tends to be bigger as I slide the new head on any Ideas? Somone has done it up for racing I know that
Some of the cylinders and heads r different for the 125 bike and 110 bigger fins and such
@@bearkreekboys never seen anything like it tbh its like they got one that hasn't had the oil cool lines taped an died into it as some bits have been ground down on the outside
Wow!
Did this step by step got new carb but my bike wont start
Any suggestions? It sound like it wants to start but won't kinda backfires
Timing off
Or valves need adjusting
Do I have to adjust this if I didn't touch them? It ran before I replaced pistons
Piston*
I think honda calls for 11ft lbs torque on there head
First!
