Something I’ve noticed with hooks is the more rhymes you have the better it sits in your ear. Usually people don’t focus on multis during a hook but I always try and rhyme the entire second line with the first line.
Just don’t overuse whatever technique that’s the key finding more so you have different ones at your disposal

I’ve been doing the syllable technique without even realizing. I never consciously count syllables while writing. I went back and counted the syllables of some previous choruses I made, and this video for sure gave me clarification 💪🏾
