  • Immaterial UNESCO Heritage since 2005, canto a tenore is one of the most famous attraction of Sardinia. Unique and ancient, still actual in the center of the island; it is a polyphonic chorus, composed by four different voices of four men, which sing in Sardinian language poems based on agri-pastoral events. A conference not only for ethnomusicology lovers. Born in Torpè, Professor of Chemistry at the school, lover and singer of Canto a tenore; he founded the chorus “Tenore Selema de Torpè”, whith whom he exibeted in many events. Author whith Efisio Pau of a collection of poems of his born city: "Cantadores de Torpè: antologia de poetes torpinos dae su 1837 a su 2000" published on 2000 by Edizioni Solinas.
