- User Interface & User Experience design plays a vital role in whether or not people will use that particular application or product. Thus, making such design decisions carefully by considering how it will be received is important. This is accomplished by tapping into the human's senses such as eyesight, touch, and hearing. In this talk, we'll be dissecting the kinds of design decisions that are being made by tech companies to make their product more appealing. Harrish is pursuing his Masters in Computer Science. He’s a fitness coach, and has a deep interest in public speaking and acting. He’s actively participated in public speaking events like Model United Nations and also takes pride in having successfully hosted several high-level events during his undergraduate. He has enthusiastically participated in both plays and musicals in national-level competitions. He currently works as a Building Manager at the Maverick Activity Center and is also a UTA Summer Orientation Ambassador, conducting several orientation sessions to incoming students representing Campus Recreation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
Phenomenal lecture by Harrish Murugesan on User Experience fundamentals. 🙌👍🙏🏼
The sound going in and out is what happens when a developer tries to become a public speaker on UX
Truly a psychology about the UX i haven't been introduced or learnt from anyone else in my life! thank u so much harish sir and the orgganizer of this event TEDx..✨❤✔
truly something new!
The UX on this video wasn't good in the beginning i.e. the volume.
I thought my laptop had a problem. lol
such an awesome insight he's given us
After a couple of years, this still feels fresh. Brilliant 🔥
what in world this TED talk keeps surfacing on my feeds . sick video
Great Insights! Wonderfully explained! Kudos Harrish! 🔥🔥🔥
And when a prof. designer whatched it : " Damn he did the very same fundamental mistake, UX is not just for interfaces" ... lol
what do you mean by that sentence quoted in " " ? pls explain I am curious. Thanks
@@uttarakulkarni3810 UX . . . Is all about making better experience for users. . it may be satisfying his physical or digital need.
@@suman-gaurav even some people says UI is the subset of UX, But I believe that UX can happen anywhere, through pushing the door in our house, Pressing the button to call lift in malls or apartment, even UX is used to make toilets too 😂
Good insights by speaker and well-delivered.
This is what happens when a software developer teaches about UX
Agree. This guy should not be teaching about UX
@@DjalilBouhachi could you guys explain more details ? Thank you
😆😆😆
@@DjalilBouhachi Mind delving more into why you said that?
@@thedesignguy1241 User experience is not about creating beautiful interfaces. It is about creating useful products for the users through scientific research and well planned product development. Taking in consideration business goals, market potential and target user needs. It is focusing on the humans using the product and solving their complex problems, as well as creating value for the company.
Very good presentation Harrish. We wish you the best and look forward to your involvment with Arokia IT team in using your insight during our App development.
obrigada pelo conteúdoo tedx
love it!
In the video, did they mention any specific case studies or examples where applying psychological principles to UX and UI design led to notable improvements in user engagement or satisfaction? If so, could you provide a summary of one such case?"
This is the most useless lecture on UI/UX design I've ever watched. Like he says "look at Google and Yahoo websites. See? They are different! Ok let's move to the next point..." No explanation why they are different and what is the aim of Google showing these things and Yahoo showing that things.
He won't try to continue his thoughts and present a kind of research or interesting things he discovered.
Do you have any talks on UX/UI that you'd recommend?
He properly explained that, " How much info you want to show and how to show. So he gave examples, that Google and yahoo have the same information, but how both they show
the information. Google is neat and clean and yahoo has everything on their home page, which is not good. And because their primary function is "Search" so why to show everything on screen ?
Thankyou very much sir 🎉
Awesome talk
No
Love the metafor with the casino, very good comparison with how social media works
That's so good
Great
Am I the only one who didn't see the food?
this was crazy good and interesting
Was waiting for something on ux but the video ended
That last quote hit me hard😂
what does that quote means ?
Bravo
I don't know why people need to complicate UX?
My experience of this talk was bad: SIMPLE.
what is with the audio?
This video content is not rightly chosen , there is so much other oncepts to emphasize about ux but i feel the content is not rightly curated. But i do aprreciate your efforts.
What concepts would you put first to talk about when it comes to UX?
what's up with the audio?
Sound is not consistent😐
This is what you let CHAT GPT write your script
who is playing with volume?
this is what happens when an indian tries to fake accent
9:10
wasted 18:00 minutes.
very dead crowd, looks like they were all sleeping. the psychology discussed was very fundamental to my liking.
kindly improve your presentation skills don't waste the time of view
ers.
What is he trying to tell actually 🤔
Red colour : TED
We're called users and its addictive?
Damn we're all junkies now.
This guy belongs on the bottom on the food chain of business and product development…
The most useless UX Design lecture I’ve ever attended
jesus that's bleak
5 sense theory by jinsop lee - cut copy paste. 😂
Sound 👎👎👎
very shallow
Technology has turned us into a bunch of dogs.
Fk yes!
This presentation was cringeworthy and hard to watch. When he referred to Pavlov by his full name and then
preceded to describe conditioning as if we’ve never heard of it, I knew it
was time to watch something else.
.
.
Nah those alpha nerd sideburns…
Sound is pathetic cannt hear anything
Most useless presentation ever
Why ?
Brainstorming😅😊
What a mess
it is a mess
I'm not sure why this talk is so phenomenal..? Nothing new to me to be honest. And he's also not the best presenter.
