I keep up my house and babysit kids from church almost daily as well as teaching classes in the homeschooling collective my church hosts. Definitely not rich, but we budget and manage well. It's not as impossible as everyone seems to think it is. And my husband certainly isn't some helpless toddler. He's a hard-working man who provides for me, and I provide for him.

I’m glad someone on CZcams appreciates stay at home moms. I was one for 33 years. My sons loved and appreciated that I was home for them, they still say it to this day. Not all women end up unhappy and broke, I certainly didn’t. My husband and I are still enjoying our lives together, being grandparents now and traveling. Take care 😊

My mom was a stay at home mom too. It had its ups and downs. She didnt seem happy. Let me rephrase. She wasn’t happy. Have a budget of $190 a month for food and it’s been a huge struggle. Still have a week left to get through. It can be incredibly stressful. 5lb bag of rice, canned beans, frozen veggies, big box of oatmeal or grits, and if I ate meat, I would go to the butcher/ meat house buy 10lb of chicken. Have the butcher chop it up very small. I promise it's enough for the whole month. Ask family and friends to donate.

That’s not really the point. It’s the way it’s portrayed on social media. Women spending hours making things from scratch in their beautiful homes in beautiful clothes with five beautiful children (who is looking after these kids while they cook for five hours) and not a hair out of place. That whip up gourmet food and have an unlimited budget. It’s not realistic for most people who are can’t afford most of it for starters.

I include my children in what I am doing, nobody else needs to "look after" them. I don't understand what there is to make fun of? And yes, most people have a limited budget, myself included.
