- Alex Phillips and Isabel Oakeshott expressed scepticism towards Dominic Cummings' proposal for a new political party.
Oakeshott accuses Dominic Cummings of being arrogant and sitting in an "ivory tower", when she says he has been a large part of problems faced by the country in recent years, accusing him of having "betrayed the British people".
And as Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron says the safety of the nation will be a key choice for voters at the general election, Isabel and Alex discuss Cameron's foreign policy failures while he was Prime Minister.

Regardless of what you think of him, he's correct about a new party. In fact I would argue we need a few new parties and Proportional representational voting. Politics is in the gutter and the two party system needs breaking up.

Many thanks Isabel again for providing a fact-based fair view on how to judge politicians by their actions instead of words. Wish we can have proportional representation so parties like Reform UK can give British alternatives to the Tory/Labour oligopoly
Isabel ,you need to get a reporter to walk around some of our towns …..I watched an independent young man reporting on the state of the towns in BRITANysterday, he stopped and talked to the local people on what they thought about the state of the town they lived in…not only I he town look a complete mess with most of the shopped closed….not to mention the amount of rubbish that was about

"Loses of Armed Forces Jobs", what you really should say is "loss of highly trained professional service personnel". If we decided to enlarge our armed forces it will take years. Making a soldier, for instance, involves more than 3 months training, it takes years. Replacing weapons given to the Ukraine and by extension Russia and China will take years, we know it could take until 2030 to replace the anti tank missiles given to Zelensky

Am I the only one on here that has listened to Cummings stating what is wrong with the current state of parliament, what Tories have badly failed at and what the public need..... and actually totally agreed with him. I have not particularly liked him in the past. He has said and done a few silly things but hey.... the man is very clever and I actually think if he could ever pull his own party off it may just be what we need. I was very keen on Reform, but am starting to see another side to it now and I do not think Tice is the man to run it.

Forget the ‘oh, but it’s ancient tradition we follow in U.K.’. For the country’s sake let’s have a top notch board of directors, a prime minister and a president, no mayors and blood sucking councils, no excessive parades of people with dead animals round their necks. No snivelling service groups. Shut the lot down and kick the expenses scam out too. Plus, even higher is another huge drain on our finance. U.K. has potential to be so successful but what are they doing? This is 2024 not 900 ad.

I bet both the Liberals and Reform UK are praying that Cummings doesn't endorse them, because that would be one of the fastest ways to lose a lot of support. What's always amazed me is why some people regard Cummings as intelligent, as his degree is in modern history. All humanities degrees consist of little more than remembering a few facts and giving your own opinion on them. Contrast this with proper science, engineering and maths degrees. These require genuine intelligence, understanding of sometimes incredibly difficult concepts, and often a lot of inventiveness when it comes to solving problems. Maybe this explains why one can count the number of MPs with such degrees on one hand.
