I find it so interesting watching your Spanish videos. I’m not a native speaker, but I’ve been taking Spanish classes off and on since kindergarten. There are so many times when you’ll say something, and I’ll look at the subtitles, and be like, “that’s not the word for that.” Lolol. I love how Spanish is just a language, but depending on what country you’re from, makes the words different or pronounced differently.

Your spanish has gone better Kathleen! I am also a full blooded Cuban but since I was born in New Zealand, I didn't grow up speaking spanish or even hearing it. I decided just last week to learn it slowly since I'm working from home. I can say it's been really hard since my accent is terrible being born in NZ, I tend to curl up my words but I'm working on it 😂

I always mean to ask this every time you post these, but when you talk to your family that only or mostly speaks Spanish, do they know some English to understand what you're saying? Like I think your mom only (?) speaks Spanish but does she understand you in English when you don't know how to say something in Spanish? I've just always wondered that and thought it was so interesting. ALSO, you really make me want to learn to speak Spanish! I just absolutely love the way the language sounds and would love to be able to communicate better with people who speak it as I live in a state that borders Mexico so we have a lot of Spanish speakers.
