I’ve had luck with Amazon’s Wag dry food…after trying dozens of dry food….have to put Parmesan cheese on top….I was at the market and they had sardines on sale.. that worked very well…broke up a sardine and worked it into the dry food with my fingers… my malapoo is eating dry food after 3 years…

We feed a gently cooked balanced fresh recipe 50/50 with Nature's Logic kibble. Canned sardines as a topper a few times a week or cooked salmon skin from our dinner. You could put her dish away in the cupboard it's so clean when she's done. 🤣

The trick is to give dog food umami flavor. That's how they do it in Asia.

Whats the use of feeding the kibble its no longer be crunchy/hard after using many add-ons.

I have been looking everywhere for a healthy safe kibble to feed the stray I adopted. He's on Pedigree right now until I can make a switch to a better food, but I'm trying to find a decent one since I know Purina and whatnot aren't much better (I know that's what my vet will recommend). Would you mind sharing the brand of kibble you feed?

Okay so I did some digging and found what brand it is (when I was adding your bone broth recommendation to my Chewy cart 😂). It's out of my budget right now but I'm definitely going to keep it on my list of goal foods for my boy. Thank you for these amazing vids! They're a huge help.

before trying this, y'all can try just adding water to the kibble and allowing it to soak up a bit before feeding

What kind of kibble do you use? Also if I’m only feeding one dog, do I still use a whole egg in her food?

Nature’s logic pork, it depends on the size of the dog. For a small dog use quail egg, for medium to large use a chicken egg. You can use 1/2 egg per meal to start

Vets recommend only one egg per day for large dogs. Too many eggs can reduce the amount of biotin in the blood. Small dogs can have one egg per week or a bit of egg per day.

Try feeding your dog meals that are 8-12 hours apart and make your dog work for the food. Do tricks or obedience training and use the food as a reward after they do some good things! I find that helps a lot. Also some dogs aren’t as interested in food that might have more fillers or grain, so you could look into that. Also you can add water or no sodium broth to the food. I don’t know if you want my opinion but I just thought I would give you my advice 😂😁

i'm same just very picky dog & even worse a large breed dog that needs 1600 - 2000 calories every single day ,,, i wouldn't wish a picky large breed dog on my worst enemy ,,, its all very stressful ... im at the point of maybe i should force a 3 - 4 day fast to try and reset his food drive ,, this is basically what professional trainers have advised - to just put what he doesn't like down twice a day for 20min each and after the 20min is up take it away and keep doing it until his hunger gives in (day 3 - 4) ,,, i've seen this on tv shows work but what about long term, does this technique really change a dog's whole hunger drive mentality

Yes I think that that technique would work. But in my experience it’s most helpful to only leave the food down for 5 minutes at most and keep doing that each meal as long as it takes for the dog to realize they only have limited time. Also I think it’s okay for dogs to not like plain kibble and is even extremely beneficial to add stuff to their meals as long as it’s a 80% kibble to 20% extras ratio and a healthy add on

Same there is 0 problems with my dog every vet I went to say she is a really picky eater she only I mean only eat wet food and it has to be a certain type as well she only likes few wet foods it’s come to a point where I can’t afford to waste money trying 30 different brands and out of all of them she only like like 2 which ends up being the most expensive option she is underweight now and only eats when she is starving i don’t know what to do at this point😭

@@OutcastYBJ Have you tried raw meats? Oats? My dog loves the raw meats, lots of recipes online. Last two weeks he has been eating Blue brand dog food, the wet food and I mix it with dry food. If I don't have the wet food I will top the dry kibble with raw meat. He's the same, very picky eater. But he ate the Blue brand right away, first time ever.

Vets say that raw eggs should never be given to dogs. They can also get salmonella poisoning. It's better to give hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs without oil or butter. It's too risky to give uncooked eggs to your pet.
