Teams should get one appeal each to go to VAR if they think an injustice has been done. Going to VAR for every goal is ridiculous. Fans from other leagues who have used VAR all season don't like it generally speaking
We like the video assistant here in Germany. There are just some old guys who hate change and are like „Ahhhh everything was better back then in the old days.
What happens when teams start using their appeals as effective timeouts?
Jan Borkowski then they would be using the time allotted for the goal strategically, it could be encouraged to use the time for a timeout, if it was then that would solve the issue of the footballers getting bored during the VAR decision
No, only one appeal for each team would just ruin the point of VAR. The FA cup and England should follow the Bundesligas example of using the VAR system, only using it on red card or goal decisions, and only using it on decisions that the referee was completely unsure on.
I agree, like each team/coach has 1 maybe 2 challenges (similar to tennis) per game to get VAR involved. Cant be done every second moment. Like Chelsea vs United last week. We could've had a VAR challenge with Morata offside call, and it would've been changed to a goal.
Moura's was a pen, trippier's wasn't and lamela's goal looked fine to me. Also why the yellow for son, he didn't pretend to kick it. Refs had a mare

Son’s was a yellow for a reason. You can feint, you just have to carry on the forward motion. If you stop then you must kick the ball. Since he stopped and didn’t kick ball it was an illegal penalty

As a referee myself I make human error but I ref under 13-14 games and there's no VAR there or proper linesmen, if I make a mistake I make a mistake, this should be with all games

Theres no way you could give that as a penatly, the contact was clearly outside the box and trippier waited until he was inside the box to flop... They can't make a decision anymore on there own, and every single call is being checked by the VAR, which is dragging games, and boring the audience. It's just a bit overdone.
Referees always say they need to go with the first point of contact, or wherever the contact was. If they followed that philosophy, there should certainly have been a freekick outside the box...

As a spurs fan I would agree. How many shit calls can be made in one game? This makes var look like and absolute waste of time but i think it has potential.
Law states that if contact carries on into the box (which it did) a penalty must be awarded. I think one of the main problems is Football fans not knowing the laws of the game, making it a lot harder for referees.
This is not cricket, this is football. We can't have interrupted game.

I mean the Portuguese league doesn't do it perfectly, but at least the main referee always asks to look at the video himself instead of just listening to the others talking in his ear. I was under the impression you can stop during your run up as long as you don't actually fake the shot.
VAR takes the momentum away. Its ridiculous to use it every time. Only if the referee has some confusion then it can be used.
Finally non match fit players can last the 90mins due to VAR. They Should only have 3 calls for each team per game max.

Danyss it can be considered as ref giving advantage but still opposition player continue to foul i side the box.

emile because he fainted in the run up, you're not supposed to do it but the referees never enforce it, rarely see cards given for it
emile an obvious feint during the run up to trick the goalkeeper is deemed as unsporting behaviour and is punishable with a caution (yellow card). Many players do it and get away with it, but Son's was a bit too obvious I guess...

You cannot stop completely in your run before hitting the ball in a penalty. Son made a mistake. That's the reason.

Still don't understand why Son's penalty wasn't allowed, you're allowed to feint in the runup, just not the kick. If it was to be disallowed it should've been for encroachment by other players.
