I just did Big Sky Race Week in Montana. It was my first drag and drive also. I've been around racing for many decades and just as you experienced, I've never seen such a friendly down to earth group as the drag and drive people. Everyone was like instant family! Such a great group of people! I look forward to doing many more drag and drives in the future!

I am so glad that there seems to be a pattern in the drag and drive community! I am happy you had such a great time as well! It was by far one of the best, if not the best, experience I've had. 💪

Looks like the wheel spin is what caused the limiter hit on the first pass

Thanks Mike, looking at it again, I think it was as well but I sure didn't feel it at the time. 😉

@@ModernRedHemiremember that time at capital when I spun and wrinkled the tires 60 was great but just past it I rocked the tires to where I shifted just passed the first limiter north of 7200 rpms caused it to short shift. Your pass looked like the same deal

I don't agree with 2nd gear starts on your build. Sure, if you had a PD blower but with a centri, I can almost guarentee 1st gear starts will be the best bet.

Yeah, we went with short shifting on the launch for now. I agree with the PD/centrifugal comment. We are looking into both once we get the Holley and the new torque converter in and do some testing. 😉
