No such thing as left handed rod BUT there are left handed reels, some fixed left hand wind and mainly the other reels are swappable right hand to left
Now Sue hold the fishing rod up near where the reel is attached, you and Sammie are good sports BUT I feel Sammie is a close to becoming a Christian after watching him singing a hymn with Steveo

Technically speaking you hold the line with your right index finger to cast and wind with your left hand. If your right handed it feels wrong so most people swap hands on the rod after every cast which is a lot of wasted effort if your putting in hundreds of casts in a session.
